Incorrect, final results are released 24th February.

I am expecting/hoping final dividend will be 1.34p. This is based on 2 x interim dividend which was 0.67p.

Good advice if you only have £20,000 to shelter (assuming only 1 child, or multiples of this for each child) as the ISA limit each year is £20,000. Not much good if you have a large sum, say £500,000 as this you would not be able to squirrel this away in an ISA in one year.

Interesting to see what happens when markets open on Monday. Although the DOW closed down -271 pts (-0.87%) yesterday, Lloyds ADR (LYG) closed up 0.87%. One of the reasons quoted for the DOW fall was increasing prices and fears of rising inflation. I guess the rising inflation news was the catalyst for the LYG closing up 0.87%?

Looks like the market and Lloyds dancing to the DOW fiddle again!

So why is Lloyds the darling of the UK banks today?

Looking at FTSE futures this is going to open sub 42p today!

FTSE futures currently down -24 pts, if it stays that way to markets open at 8 am then Lloyds will open sub 43p. Unbelievable the change in sentiment with this share since half year results which were very good. Just have to batten down the hatches and sit tight to full year results.
