So there are 3.2 million people over 80 years old in the UK. Double vacations give you 90% protection. In this high risk group allone the unlucky 10% that it doesn't work for equals 320,000 people at high risk of death. If you want to take Gran / Grandad down the pub it's still a big Russan roulette risk they are not one of those 320k.
Surely would be a good idea to get everyone classed as high risk to take an antibody test so they know if they are protected or not. They and family can then take precautions if they know they are not. This will most importantly save lives but also a heck of a lot of money and NHS time.

The bottom line is. We can't go to the supermarket, walk around while eating a pallet of their strawberries and then say at checkout "I ate the lot but didn't like them so I'm not paying for them".
You pay or give them back, if you can't give them back....you pay! End of.
If someone else says you should never of had them to eat in the first place, French strawberries are better than English, Tesco sell them cheaper than Waitrose....none if that matters. You consumed them you pay for them, this is the law!
If some group is taking it to court it is just an excuse to delay payment. If they win (somehow, they do not have a case) they (DHSC) will STILL need to pay for what they have used. We can cope without the money for now. It WILL, come in future and as they need to pay whatever happens I expect it will be soon.

We have nearly 8 million in the bank, nearly 7 million on its way (owed) and we are expected to be in profit for the year.
Not a loss making business with good cash balance already in the bank. Can't see any reason for rasing funds.

Roly, you make a good and fair point but we will have to be tested going forward. Yes maybe not as much but how else are they going to keep tabs on how good or bad case numbers are, are there new variants coming / in circulation already, can we let you into our country / leave the country etc.
I also think its the dawn of the LFT in general. Public are now familiar and have confidence with them as they have proven their value. Can easily see national Flu testing in future and many other
national screenings using LFT's.

Hi Roly, my direct answer would be absolutely Yes. If DHSC want LFT's and we want full capacity a deal would be stuck. You would hope the goverment would want home made LFT's (although sadly nothing to suggest that with this current bunch of clowns) and would do what they can to make that happen. If they do, ABDX simply have to say we can't do it until you pay up so it should expedite the issue. All the multi billions that have been spent, our 5 million is chicken feed! Goverment trying to make a point, it's been made. One now hopes some common sense will prevale very soon and it all gets cleared up ASAP. My company still works with clients that we have had court cases with in the past. Disagreement are part of business but after that business is still business. We provide a product or service you need, you have money to spend, the past is in the past let's help each other out.
If anyone thinks LFT's will not be needed much in future because a day goes by without them being mentioned much they are wrong. Also, we all get so hang up on UK goverment orders. The whole world needs them and their money is just as good and valuable as the UK goverments.
As a company that has the history, exsperiance and skilled teams in place to produce LFT's, they surly can not avoid getting to full capacity if they tried!
This is why they have expanded. Doesn't matter if its Avacta, DHSC, or anyone else, LFT' are needed in their billions month after month and will continue this way for a long time yet. This is the ultimate of right time, right place.

I think the market is over egging how in bed with Avacta we are (our SP movements are mirroring theirs). Yes they are a client and a potential big one but, they are 'A' client....not the only one. Whatever capacity is not filled by them will be filled by someone else. Abingdon's success is not reliant on the success Avacta LFT...don't get me wrong it will help alot if that all comes good and I really hope it does (goverment orders etc) as we are ready to go with them, but its far from end game if it doesn't. We will probably just end up producing for whoever the big orders go to. If Avacta great, if not, orders are orders...Next in line please.

However big or small the contract with Bioporto is, its garenteed work / revenue for the next 10 years so derisks this investments.
There is concern over the DHSE payment but they can not brake the law. They have used the product so there will not be a court in the land that would accept any sort of argument that they should not pay for it. The bill will be paid (most likely with lost interest added on) so I do not see this as any sort of long term risk at all.
Add to this we make the most indemand product (maybe only second to the vaccine) in the world right now that has no signs of changing any time soon. Perrsonally can not see any risk, just reward in this investment.
Each to their own but think many will be kicking themselves that they did not spot this one. Got to be the best bargain on AIM right now.

Got to be the safest place to invest your money right now. Massive world pandemic, here to stay and the way to keep it under control and the world moving as normal is testing!
This is a company that makes LFT! Yes, the thing every country in the world is crying out for. They will be printing money for many years. Seriously what is anyone worried about?

Muggins, it's the same old problem with your complete lack of any Business acumen or experience.
I challenge you to take a company with 5 employees grow it to 57 employees without spending any more money than you did before.
Then deal with multiple other companies, goverments and regulatory bodies, negotiating multi million pound contracts and never have a single delay.
As I have said before, unfortunately the magic business wand that you think GB has possession of does not exist in the real world.
The Company is growing (extremely well) this costs money. Agreeing big contracts takes time with many pitfalls (most of them out of your control) along the way. If you had ever worked in a large scale business you would know this, but clearly not.

Yet a manufacturer of said LFT's SP drops 50% (due to a bill that will be paid in time, just needs a bit more time to be sorted) Huuuum, ever think the Market is missing something?? :) I'm lapping them up...this is amazing!

I think to translate what GB was trying to tell but is currently unable to say is.....throughout the EU, and UK and China! (Plus some USA and others). There is the initial purchase cost and fitting but each unit (multiple thousands) will bring in X£'s a month, each month, after month, after year....that is mind boggling revenue garenteed every year! Robotic arms doing the work so operation costs / time low, sit back and watch the money coming in...I love it! Yearly Dividends should end up being more than the current SP, that will do nicely!

One thing I should know but have forgotten and now can't find. Can anyone tell me, how much is skin trust club membership? I have £200 in my head but am not 100% sure.

So much going on and to look forward to. Looking at that long list of activity ticking along every day, the sectors we are in, where we are and the data already available to us compared with any competition, just screams to me 'the future'. This is a well run company that is on the cusp of turning from 'great potential' into just a plan old great company! turning over multi millions and banking profits.
Each to there own but Deepverge sum up everything I look for in an investment.
Growing fast but at a pace that can be sustained,
Future thinking,
Multiple revenues, (if one market goes bad the others can carry the slack)
Good people and teams combining their skills and not afraid to think outside the box...the list could go on.
I don't want to encourage an investment that each individual is not comfortable with but for me now is the time to get in, I personally will be loading up. Still under the radar but not for much longer as we transition from a classic AIM start up into a truly global established company.
