I have been in here awhile and will remain until what I believe will be an inevitable plays out.
If we take the UK as an example. Around 10% of the adult population are not vaccinated and will probably remain that way. This is around 5.3 million people.
The vaccine does not work on around 10% of the population so that’s 4.8 million more with no protection. Total 10.1 million adults. If you add in unvaccinated kids its around 22 million. That’s (and UK has some of the best vaccine numbers in the world remember) is 1 in 3 people with no vaccine protection. We do not know who the 4.8 million are who are walking around now, thinking they have protection when in fact they don’t. We also do not know how long the protection the vaccines gives last for. Current indications are for some, not very long hence the booster vaccine talk.
Apply the same maths as above to the rest of the world and in a very best-case scenario you will still have 2.5 billion people walking about with no protection.
All in all, I think it is inevitable that at some point we will all need to do an antibody test. There is no point giving millions / billions of people boosters if they are already protected and those not protected need to know so they can take the necessary precautions. At some point also they will need to come up with a way that unvaccinated people can still do things (travel / nightclubs etc) and the answer to that is LFT’s. Also before Covid, LFT were something curious might be pregnant women used. The world now knows LFT can be used for all sorts of things are easy(ish) to use and we will see them being used for many more non covid checks in future.
I see a very big future ahead for this company, it’s a shame many here are struggling to see anything past the next day or week.

The Market / MM's are bashing the SP as if this is a company about to go under. ABDX financials are actually is decent shape (especially compared to your average AIM) They have nearly 5 million in the bank, yes there has been some cash burn recently but that is because we have been expanding. Ofcourse its never good to let good staff go but reducing the workforce by a third also reduces your overheads by a third. If the goverment actually paid their bill (something by law they will need to do at some point) then we would have actually posted a healthy profit. Revenue has over doubled with a big chunk of that not being Covid related.
In conclusion "The Market" is too hung up (IMO) on the missing HMG payment and ABC19 sales, which to be fair is not supprising. However, neither of these things are in anyway good but this is not a company in trouble, sales are growing, manufacturing capacity now massively increased, overheads now reduced and money in the bank to fall back on if needed which, with another likely contract or two it won't be.
By year end ABDX will be able to manufacture 150 million test a year with a 40% profit margin. Bright future ahead.

Well done ABDX! come out fighting is much more like it. As they said, we are caught in the crossfire, we have done nothing wrong yet are the ones paying the price.
The goverment need to be put under pressure and sort this mess out now! I say if they think its OK not to pay your bills then that should / needs work both ways! What would happen if we stopped paying them our tax bills, corporation tax....we get massive fines or chucked in prison! But they can not pay if they don't feel ike it! Just an embarrassment of a government which I hope will now start feeling as embarrassed as they should!

Why on earth would we care! We are based in Ireland and the UK you strange man.
Nearly all Big companies have addresses in other countries with no employees connected to them its very, very normal. DV do not claim to be a US company. + all you say turns out to be complete BS so this is probably the same anyway.
So, why should we be worried about a company that needs a loan (which they need to pay back) to keep 10 people employed? Sounds like one on its way under to me.

I do completely agree. Responding to Internet weirdos is like all my other bad habits. I promise myself not to do it anymore but then temptation often gets the better of me.

Net assets of £186,249 and debt of 150k...
They do water stuff for small privately owned yachts. Huuuum, Errrrrm, and you think these are about to take over a global company worth over 60 million with all the intellectual property, data banks and skilled personnel. The Chinese are suddenly going so say forget this DV lot, I know this start up company with 2 employees, no manufacturing capabilities, but can do small yacht stuff pretty good that they can probably serve all of our 23 provences better?
Not that you had any credibility in the first place but if anyone was still giving you just a little, it has now well and truly gone for good.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking AVCT, great company and I made a very good profit out of them myself. I will buy back in there at some point in the future for sure.
My point being (and maybe the same as your) if AVCT get a big order, let's say 100 million tests. Some of that value is already priced in to their SP. There would probably be a buying frenzy that would push it (temporarily) higher but by rights it should not push their SP up by more than 10 to 20% on todays prices.
Now if we trust ABDX will be making a large chuck of those 100 million, we have none of that value priced in. There could be eg 50 million in value to us which is 10 million more than our entire MC.
I believe we have nearly 30 million in assets already so sticking to the market not pricing any future earnings in (which at this point I'm sure it wouldn't) we should have an MC of 80 million (80p SP) and this is all conservative....I know which one would (am) prefer to be in.

The volume and interest here is very low compared with other so called 'covid stocks'.
I am surprised others don't appear to have picked up on that good news for ODX almost certainly means good news for ABDX.
Good news for AVCT almost certainly means good news for ABDX.
AVCT MC is 324 million
ODX MC is 93 million
ABDX MC is 40 million
It shouldn't take a genius to work out which has the best chance of success and which also has the best chance of doubling/ trippling etc.
When the (multi zonal) good news comes this is the one that will truly rocket as it has next to no future earnings priced in. Its where the smart money is at, or at least should be.

Completely agree. It amazes me that the market and population in general are looking at this moment as if the nasty Covid ship is sailing away and just about to hit the horizon. Here we all are giving it the birdy and saying good riddance and welcome back ‘normal’ life!

Covid will be around probably forever but definitely for all of ours and (unfortunately of course) our children’s / grandchildren’s lives.  As the new rhetoric says “we need to learn to live with it”

So, if you are a government what is the best way to make this possible? We know vaccines work well, but! Not for everyone and there will always (again, unfortunately of course) be a section of the population that will refuse having one.

We don’t know how long the vaccines will work for and who the unlucky ones are that it has never worked for in the first place. We can keep this massive effort going on a loop where we get the entire population (most of them at least) to take yearly booster jabs at a astronomical cost? Huuum, If we can’t get everyone vaccinated this time around the number coming forward is only ever going to down as we are all asked to have our 8th/9th/ 10th booster.

For me, there is only one long term solution. National screening for antibody strength. While we don’t know how long the vaccines work for at least every 6 months. Going forward maybe once a year.

If your levels are low, book yourself in for a booter. If ok, carry on.

The latest vaccine / booster can then be targeted at those who actually need it so you might only need to give 10% or the population a jab instead of asking everyone to come forward. Individuals will then also know if it is truly safe to take Gran out for a pub lunch or not.

You can’t do national efforts based on “we have tested 5% of the population and from that we think 15% of you need a jab so all come forward for one.” We also “think” there may be another variant out there of concern so all start being more carful just in case. People are already turning off the importance of following the rules, vague stuff will not cut the mustard anymore.

The effort needs to be targeted and the only way to do that is test everybody! An easy home test and then down to you to do the right thing ‘IF’ you need to.

If the sciences advisors recommendation is to test the entire country and the goverment goes ahead with it, we could exspect a starting order in the region of £350 million. Imagine what that will do to a MC of just over 40 million.

If the UK goverment does not put an order in now then we definitely know something very fishy is going on. It just make complete 100% logical sense that we ALL do a ABC-19 test.....let's be having those orders now please.

Orders are incoming and they will be for the high tens, or over £100 million. We have a MC of 40M!
I'm vert confident this will at least double or maybe triple within a month.

I can't see how that could happen. The product has been used (literally one million times) so can not be returned. Whatever the outcome of the GLP case, law states you can reject a contract but you must then return any goods that have been obtained through that contract. DHSC can't so they HAVE to pay up. It's possible at a discounted price but no court in the land will say its OK to use something one million times and not pay for it.
It is not ABDX fult if the goverment did something wrong. They placed the order, it was filled, deliveded, accepted and then used.
The GLP is an excuse to hold payment. The case is against the goverment not ABDX and if they goverment win or lose they still have to pay up!

All fair and valid points about the cons, but per the original post. We make LFT! Have a proven history, skill set and machinery etc to produce them in the millions. Its right up there with couldn't arrange a p1ss up in a brewery if you can't make a success of an LFT business during a pandemic!
Cases going massively up, hospital cases and deaths. We still have no idea how long the vaccine works for in the real world and need to stay constantly vigilant for new strans that may bypass the vaccine.
The only way to get the data on what we need to do next (keep everyone vaccinated against latest strain etc) is mass screening / testing.
We are still in the dawn of the Covid age. Test / test / test is here for life!
