As I said there are some big ifs....but the last RNS to do with a new contract took the SP from 27p to 86p so +59p. We now have a SP of 43p and I don't think its too far fetched to think that news of a contract to supply the travel industry would not see a similar rise or even bigger.
Not sure if it will be Monday but I do exspect some news with the Avacta partnership at the very east in the coming week.... and it could well be big news!, or for balance not :)

Should be an interesting last hour....think its place your chips time. If I wanted in I would not dare (personally) risk missing a big Monday morning RNS. Big 'if' but if its a big manufacturing agreement to fill the travel LFT void then it will be a £1+ open IMO.

OK skim read some now....take my last comment back, I didn't realise most posts were by the 'man?'...(maybe angry teen) himself. Still can't work out how GB has not managed to take a company of 5 people to one making billions of £££ withing a few years I see.....yep ready for my zzzzzz now.

I will be watching the main news channels (BBC / ITV / channel 4) tonight. If they cover the LFT shortage then tomorrow could be particularly interesting. I exspect it will cause a big hit on the goverment free LFT website which will snowball into a bigger story and pressure on the goverment to do something about it.
Not that this is dependent on it being on main stream news tonight. It will happen anyway but being put into the full public domain tonight will speed the inevitable along.

The world badly needs more LFT's and in 100' of millions / billions volume.
We have spare capacity and expertise in making them. It's not rocket science to work out that our spare capacity will soon be filled. That's 150 million test a year! Over 40% profit margin and we are still valued at under £50 million. Doing a full year and full capacity should give us one year profits more than that.

Funny how the SP suddenly rockets 30% and people suddly appear wanting to talk about the GLP?

Do we have something about to happen? All (so called ) covid stocks are flying but especially us and Avacta...interesting!

I just did some very basic research on Google on world covid numbers.
Apparently 2.5 billion people are now fully vaccinated which is about one 3rd of the worlds population. Yet! cases, and more alarmingly deaths are significantly higher now than they were during the first covid wave. Over 2k deaths in the US alone today.
Yes, we can maybe point to better world reporting on these numbers as time has gone on but the numbers don't appear to add up. If the vaccine gives us such good protection and one in 3 people are fully vaccinated then you would logically think global deaths would clearly drop by around one 3rd also.....this does not appear to be happening, not even close to.....the big question Why?
This post may appear anti vaccine which I am most definitely not! It just looks strange to me, would be good to hear others options.

Will do us good if we win but considering the amount of innovation that has happened as a result of the pandemic its already a massive achievement to be nominated...well done all at Abingdon!

Completely agree codejunkie but The GLP will not be interested in the Innova contracts as they are not a Brittish company.
Their main beef with Abingdon is we are British. Pumping billions of tax payers money into the Chinese (or any other country) economy is all fine but the goverment helping a brittish company to compete with the likes of Innova so we can keep the money and employment in the UK is seen by them as state aid and scandal.
They formed as an anti brexit organisation so any pro Brittish / brexit policy they will be all over.
All a bit embarrassing really, the Chinese goverment must love them!

I would say we must have strong grounds to counter sue the GLP and or DHSC, under defamation of the company's hard earned reputation which has lead to loss of income, jobs and millions off the companies SP value.

Probably would be best if we shareholders did this over the company itself......any volunteers to lead the group :)

Well, we have seen what a bit of good news does to this share.
We have spare manufacturing capacity (not good) but it means many RNS's as it gets filled (very good) There are not that many options out there if you need millions of tests made, there will be many needs for LFT's now and in the future so I have no doubts it will get filled. I fancy another RNS before the end of the month and back towards to £1 SP.

Travel to US now open again. Considering people can still carry covid (and variance of) even when vaccinated Its hard to believe there will not be simple LF testing as part of the deal.
Somewhere in the region of 15 to 20 million people travel by plane each day....thats a big, very big! LFT market to cover....Big future for this company!!

Very big hint just now by Sajid Javid that LFT's will replace PCR testing when travelling.
Lord Bethells bosting about the UK made supply and the plan to increase it further....this is either a dead cert to land well for us (Europe's biggest LFT manufacturer) or the BOD must go. I'm confident and hopeful its the first one.

Bojo taking tomorrow, I will be getting very excited if I see the RNS red dot in the morning.

Can't see the take up of 12 to 15 year olds getting vaccinated will be high. Why put your kids through that if they are already protected...answer for me is give parents the chance to see if their kid(s) have natural protection already. More informed discussions can then be made by all.

Testing is going to be needed for many, many years to come. We will not have all that many 100's of millions contracts now but the UK citizens will surly want home grown testing to see us through the years ahead and 10's of millions to be supplied in this country alone! (EU / US etc are all there for the taking as well)

LFT to get those not willing to take the vaccines through life and sooner or later they will need to know people's antibody status. I'm 99.9% sure on that one, just can't see how that is not going to become useful information to have at some point. Media articles are all pointing that way, just sit tight here, it's no flash in the pan stuff test, test, test and we are best in the business at making and supplying them. 150 million capacity with high yield returns. These guys will be paying out at least current SP in dividends , year after year! ABDX is in my opinion at a buy of the century price!
