If what Vatic say is true and proven (Mutation proof) and its highly accurate, then sensible governments / organisations will stockpile them. Why wait to see if your current test supplier test works on the new variant, if it doesn’t quickly try and battel it out with other government to find one (if it exists at all) that does. Mutation proof, means risk proof which is a massive selling point and one that allows you to fill a warehouse or two ready to go when / if needed. The Vatic founder has been on government advisory panels in the past (maybe still is?) so will have all the right ears to get into.
I think people are not getting the whole Covid is here to stay forever thing. I think everyone realises there will be another variant of concern at some point (5 in two years so we can guess a new one around every 5 months) and we all hope it will be a mild one, but then there will be another one after that, and one after that, on and on and on. Just as we have always had with Flu, sometime the variants will be mild and not concerning but sometimes they will be more deadly and very concerning.
Sometimes there will be a good level of immunity in the general population to help us, sometimes this will be too low and need topping up.
These are all things the governments know and an easy to use, accurate and mutation proof test will be exactly what they want.

Add to that the most easiest, user friendly test on the market as well and you have a no brainer market leading product! they have also said its mutation proof.
If all is on schedule then its a max 6 to 7 weeks away from full production. This could be the big one!

It looks like Antibody testing will play a part, and If the country needs to respond quickly and be secure that must surly mean investment in the UK diagnostic industry and home manufacturing?
The question is are we (UK's largest LFT manufacture) involved in those plans?
If we are, there will certainly be an NDA involved that would stop it being made public knowledge until this announcement, so the 21st (week Monday) would be the day we find out I exspect.

Its an odd number to be a coincidence of different buyers, buying that exact amount.

Our big hope here is a change in testing strategy towards Antibody testing. In the current situation maybe, maybe not we can return to normality but even with a "mild" verient dominating that comes with a very big caveat!
You should be safe so long as your vaccine protection is still doing its job. Over 13,000 people in the world died of covid yesterday. We can guesstimate that would be more like 100k if we didn't have vaccine protection. As the WHO have stated its not viable to vaccinate the entire world every year or so. Surly as time goes on monitoring Antibodies and targeting vaccinations to only those that need them will be the sensible thing to do?

Probably nothing but I just looked up Abingdon Health on YouTube. They have posted 16 videos, the second most viewed has been watched 8,700 times. By far the largest is their "how to use the AbC-19 test" which has been viewed over one million times.

We hear about the Vatic contract through the Daily Mail. Avacta TT completion a month after it happened. Biosure news only came after TT completion.
They are suddenly selling a Wondfo antigen covid test through their Pocket Diagnostics website. Wondfo are a Chinese Diagnostics firm with a Mcap of £16 billion! I presume we now have some tie-up with them? One would think something worth mentioning?? ABDX are still/ have been advertising for a number of Production personnel so you presume they are producing tests for someone but God knows who? You wouldn't be suprised if its a "well yeah, for this major firm we signed a major contract with 6 months ago" RNS at some point? Who knows, but I'm not likeing the major lack of transparency and respect the company are showing its investors either.

Yes correct. I'm not saying we are at this moment supplying these test. The 'Survey' went live last Monday. At the moment there is not a goverment website where 'anyone' can order a antibody test? Yet this appears to be what will happen in future. Meaning this is all possible new news coming our way soon? If we start seeing some publicity from the goverment inviting anyone to get their Antibodies checked, its at that point we would exspect and be hopeful for an RNS. You know goverments and their NDA's. They would not let anyone release news like that until they announced it first.

The website has been around since summer last year. It's for study participants I.e. invite only.
The Antibody test Survey appears to be separate to this. With questions like, why have you asked for a test and options of 'just curious', recommended by a friend etc as answers suggests anyone will soon be able to request one.
The big question, what tests will they use?
Aero healthcare, appear to be a distributor only. I don't think they have produced their own test. If they are involved it's probably just in a logistics/ storage way?

Imagine the rebound that will happen if there is an RNS tomorrow saying. "Abingdon are pleased to confirm that we are the chosen supplier for the forthcoming goverment national antibody survey".... now that would be a propper booom!
It's a punt, but a free punt. If it comes in you make loads if it doesn't the price should not go down...if it does, at already rock bottom prices it will not be by much.

I just can't see why the goverment would spend big on just confirming what they already know which is around 97% of us have antibodies (yes/no). The really useful information to know would be how MANY antibodies, the level in people, different age groups, ethnic groups etc and that's our Semi-Q test!
