RE: What a great day for Avacta!14 Apr 2020 18:04
Today I closed the remainder of my position in NCYT. I feel that one has run most of it's course now, and even with future RNS - I believe the expectation of profit is so high that it's already priced in. There will surely be more companies with approved lab based tests soon, so the competition is only going to increase. It's still going to be a big pie, but it's going to be cut into more slices. (I dare not write this on the NCYT board though as I will be attacked by an angry mob with pitchforks.)
I have taken that money and used it to double my holding in Avacta, they have a niche here which needs filling ASAP. All the indications are that Avacta will be successful, especially with Cytiva on board. The demand for lab based tests will, IMO, be significantly dented if, or should I say when, Avacta bring this product to market - hence moving more funds accross to here.
This is the place to be and I'm happy to be in here early. My average is now a bit higher due to the buy today, however I'm not overly concerned. In a few weeks time, this will be so high that it will be irrelevant. All IMO. Do your own research etc.
Slightly off the topic of this board;
Also holding some other Covid related stocks: SNG (very nicely advanced product), small holding in TILS (error I think, need to sell that one), ODG (due to Gov backing I think this could go far), GDR (another small holding, for potential with and also beyond Covid19), ORPH (Flu-V seems interesting), TEK (for Covid and non-Covid products).
Avacta is my largest holding and the one which I am the most hopeful about.
