Merry Xmas to the good un’s on the forum here… Let’s hope we get a deal or deals that reflect the potential for P140 in the New Year.

As the detractors keep telling us, IMM only has a handful of employees so on balance of probabilities, the loose tongues are more likely to be coming from the other party. And as there's going to be more employees on that side than there are of IMM, I'd say it's entirely plausible that someone on this forum (with an interest in pharma shares) knows somebody working for the other party.....

Ogm4 - Totally. Better the right deal than a rushed deal. Allowing prospective partners the time to do their due diligence, etc will hopefully lead to some offers.

No evidence to this suggestion but I would have thought that with the CNRS also being French, Sanofi might be a strong cultural fit as a partner. Let's see what happens in the next few months but regardless of what happens it's an interesting time to be an IMM shareholder....

Roger - The 'market' isn't necessarily going to have the access or in depth scientific knowledge to understand how effective P140 may or may not be. While some might have a belief that the market is always correct, it doesn't always get it right.

It's also entirely possible that Tim's machinations have actually managed to keep IMM in the game here. Lot of talk about Tim misleading earlier in the year about denying a fund raise and then having one weeks later. If he'd been honest about the cash situation, it wouldn't have put IMM in a good negotiating position.

So while he's not been perfect, a lot of what he's done has been done with good intentions.

Roger - Yes, I think if a big pharma hesitates they might lose out which is why they'd be doing due diligence, etc to show they are serious buyers and not just time wasting tyre kickers. IMM would also have some control over timings especially if they're negotiating with more than one interested party. However, this wouldn't be the case if they're negotiating with one party only as control over timings is then with the buyer.

Roger - Surely it’s human nature to be more cautious when spending larger sums of money compared to smaller amounts?

Now when it comes to big pharma’s there’ll most likely be systems in place to ensure the CEO is less likely to lose his/her job in the event of a bad investment. Not that I think IMM will be a bad investment IMHO.

Rookie - OTM is probably working for someone wanting to increase their 1.485m shares as cheaply as possible….

A private shareholder with that number of shares wouldn’t be constantly rubbishing the company. Just doesn’t sound right.

Interesting point about pharma’s being keen on late stage prospects to combat the patent drop off issue. Certainly makes IMM a more attractive proposition when that perspective is considered.

Rookie - Sure someone (forget who) posted an example of one deal taking 11 months so what you’ve said makes sense. I’d certainly like to think the delay has been caused by higher levels of interest starting at different times.

While due diligence would be crucial regardless of a takeover or licensing deal by an interested party, I assume it would be far more involved and time consuming in the case of a takeover as the scale of any financial risk is far greater from the outset of any deal.

Negotiations can easily be delayed for a multitude of reasons. And things drag on especially if decisions are made by committee. I sat in a meeting a few years ago, with 6 managers from a local council and every minor point had to be discussed with each manager having to express an opinion. Took weeks for the development to be finally signed off for a change that in reality only required 3-4 hours to develop, test and implement….

OTM - To be pedantic, he never said ‘early 2026’. He said about a deal in 2026, paused briefly and then added ‘in the New Year’ near the end of the last Proactive Investors interview.

And before you accuse me of being a stupid Tim fan boy, I'm not. I've been critical of him as well. However, big pharma are only interested in buying the asset, not Tim. Once a deal happens, he'll be off.

But do have more pride in yourself and spend time on something that nourishes your soul rather than consuming it!
