RE: “£60m in the bank…a decade of cash”.,10 Oct 2021 20:13
BAS,
So you are saying that the figures quoted for cash burn are the same as the past 10 years, well that is wrong, totally wrong.!
The cash burn in H1 2021 was £3.3m, in H1 2020 it was only £2.1m.
It clearly states that the figure includes "The scale up of our manufacturing capabilities, an increase in headcount and increased investment in our technology and assets"
The figures for cash burn are very near term (nothing whatsoever to do with the past 10 years), that is the whole point of half yearly results, to tell us the most recent cash burn level.
Cash burn will obviously go up a bit because AFC are ramping up to 100 staff, but there is still many YEARS of cash in the bank even with that. And if we get orders we will spend some but get it back in revenues and profit. I was being flippant because I couldn't be bothered to sit here and do exact calculations because precise cash burn rates are not relevant to the point I was making.
As I said, the point of my post was "AFC do not 'need' to sell anything 'soon'" and that remains the case, no matter how much you want to be picky about cash burn figures.
