Not much chance of AFC charging Formula E next year, as racing starts on 28 January, but plenty of scope for AFC to do it for the 2023 season.

It is the Porsche Taycan trip by ABB that will hopefully stop at AFC, and at some point be involved in the launch of the ABB + AFC EV charger.

There are different road trips.

The one that has done 3 videos is done by Formula E in a Jaguar I-Pace.

The other one is being done by ABB and is a 'one day trip' in a Porsche Taycan.

Additionally, ABB is using its global presence to embark on the “ABB Road To COP” and #ABB4ClimateAction campaigns, via a number of local events in key markets such as the US, UK, Sweden, Switzerland, the EU and India.

As part of the “ABB Road To COP”, ABB will showcase the ease of undertaking a long journey in a state-of-the-art EV, by driving a Porsche Taycan from the south coast of England to COP26 host city Glasgow. The journey of approx. 750km will be undertaken in one day, with charging stops at a number of ABB partner locations. A short film about the trip will be produced to highlight the many benefits of
e-mobility.

Under its 2030 Sustainability Strategy, ABB plans to become carbon-neutral by continuing to transition to renewable energy sources and improving energy efficiency. Its EV 100 plan commits ABB to electrifying its fleet of more than 10,000 vehicles by 2030 and it aims to help reduce customers’ annual CO2 emissions by 100 megatons – equivalent to the annual emissions of 30 million combustion cars.

I don't see EQT as a Hydrogen or Fuel Cell stock, they do gasification of waste, so they are part of the waste to energy sector, same as PHE. They don't sell Electrolysers or Fuel Cells.

Another example of a company saving it's new up for COP26. ABB are a listed company, but they were not allowed to announce this until Alfa Laval made their declaration public at COP26. Alfa Laval are also a listed company, but can choose when to make such news public. AFC's clients can do the same if they want, with any type of news or deals, and AFC just have to play along. Fingers crossed for news tomorrow.

Many Moons ago, HW was looking at a NASDAQ listing for AFC for exactly that reason.

I think that if (when?) AFC get big sales in the USA and it's deemed necessary to have an assembly factory there, then a NASDAQ listing would be seriously looked at, but not before AFC are already into a multi-bn MCap, as the cost and complexity may not be worth it before then.

Chucky1977, yeah, posts crossed, but does not say in the ABB PR which day, so I'd expect it to be tomorrow now.

It's actually EV Day at COP26 tomorrow, and it doesn't say which day the ABB road trip is taking place, but my guess is tomorrow.

There's some possibilities here:

Launch the ABB EV Charger at ABB's offices, then drive to AFC HQ (no charging needed here), then on to Glasgow and recharge at the Extreme E charger (if its still up there after the PoW visit) at COP26.

Start the road trip at ABB offices, then drive to AFC HQ and launch the ABB EV Charger there, then on to Glasgow and recharge at the Extreme E charger (if its still up there after the PoW visit) at COP26.

Or better still, the launch of the ABB + AFC rapid off grid charger. Today would be the perfect day for that, as it's EV Day at COP26. Charging the Taycan at the launch would be typical ABB style. The agreement says that AFC and ABB will both market the ABB EV Charger, so having it located at AFC HQ would fit with the agreement.

Driving from Southampton or Brighton with a bit of off route to stops is about that distance, and AFC is en route from either.

MCAP is also based on the value of the IP, which for AFC is huge, and on future sales and profits, that is what is valuing the other stocks at Bn's, not current sales by any stretch of the imagination. So once AFC sales do kick in, it will make a huge difference to the AFC MCap in a short period of time.

Talking of cash burn, it's won't take a huge amount of orders to get AFC into a profit, because it's cash burn rate is so low. That is why I think some decent sales could quickly catapult AFC into the multi-Bn MCap group, priced ahead of sales.

Go ahead and compare turnovers if you like, because they are actually pretty meaningless when all of those listed are LOSING MONEY, and the biggest ones are losing many multiples of what AFC burns every year!!

Value is not based on turnover, it's based on profitability or cash burn, none are profitable and AFC has one of the lowest cash burn rates, go figure!!

By end of 2022 I think.

As posted earlier, USA Fuel Cell and Hydrogen stocks are flying today off the back of Biden's bill being passed. Here are the current stats and MCap comparison with AFC. Interesting to see that only three in the peer comparison are priced less that £1bn, seven are into the multi-billion MCap range. It can't be much longer for AFC to join them IMVHO.

So we have two at around the same price. The price seems more conducive to genset replacement, but fleets with restricted grids have to compare the price with up to £10m for a new substation plus the cost of cabling from that to their base, so still cheaper overall in many cases.

The USA Fuel Cell and Hydrogen stocks are flying today, as expected following Biden's bill being approved.

Usually this causes a tow for the rest of the global FC and H2 stocks, so it could be another walk up this week here.
