What size EV Charger, and how many kW dispensed?

The thing with the AFC EV Charger is there is a battery pack that is used to charge the vehicles, the AFC FC then tops the battery pack up.

So in 24h there might be 24 vehicles charge up at an average of 40kW each. The AFC FC would have put 24 x 40kW = 960kWh back into the battery pack over the 24h.

With an AFC FC efficiency of 60%, and 33kW in 1kg of Hydrogen, that would be 48.48kg of Hydrogen.

In 2018 the update arrived on 15 November, followed 2 days later by the announcement of the EV Charger used on the roadshow.

In 2019 and 2020 the update arrived earlier, but at those times AB was not rubbing shoulders with royalty and global leaders at the biggest global conference to be held in the UK for decades. Also during 2019 and 2020 he had a lot less other stuff on his plate than he does right now.

People should let AB complete what he has in his calendar, and then he can get back to updating the fickle private investors.

I don't mind waiting because when you invest you know that to get returns, you have to wait, you have no choice but to wait. How long each person is prepared to wait is the real question. I've waited 13 years and I'm happy to carry on waiting, until the company is hugely successful, at which point my share will be worth a fortune.

People that post fake moaning (we all know who they are) are either trying to create negativity on this board, or are so impatient that they should not be investing in anything but bellwether blue chip stocks where they don't have to wait for anything except a dividend.

Moaning about lack of news when they know full well that AB is at COP26 is disingenuous at best.

It's not moaning it's fake moaning, just scaremongering to create negativity. You only need to read a persons posting history to work that out.

Perhaps that is part of the solution ABB are creating? They have the power storage, they have the EV Chargers, they have the high power controls to link things together. They will have much bigger buying power than AFC, so I'd leave Ammonia Cracker sourcing to them, as it will save money on the complete system, they can do the integration alongside the items I've listed.

Here's the Diesel Genset fuel usage.

So a 160kW genset producing 160kW uses 40 litres of Diesel per hour.

Diesel is 148.8p average in the UK

That would make the power price 37.2p per kWh from next April, when construction etc will not be allowed to use the cheaper red diesel.

AFC, as per the link from Klunk, were below this in 2019 at 30p / kWh using Ammonia

It should be a no-brainer for replacing gensets in the UK next year. This probably accounts for several of the orders AB expects before the end of 2021.

I wonder if the AFC EV Charger is still in Glasgow, as it would be a great opportunity for the 'Formula E - Electric Road Trip to COP26' to have a chat with AB. The first two videos are well worth watching, part three should turn up today or tomorrow I'd guess.

We look in prime place to displace off-grid diesel gensets, plus on top of that is replacing all those that already exist but will need to go ASAP due to climate change declarations and laws on pollution like those in the UK. Mace, Acciona and Altaaqa could bring in huge sales over the next few years, plus others will sign up for other regions, so we could be in the same position as PLUG/FCEL/BLDP/BE with big pipelines of orders to fill. Add on top AFC's other markets and sales of Alkamem. Set up assembly factories in the Middle East, Far East and USA. We could indeed get to a MCap in a few years that people today would consider crazy.

Can you point me to somewhere that shows NOx output from cracking Ammonia?

The only place I've seen Ammonia having NOx output is with combustion of Ammonia, but a cracker is not doing combustion, it is splitting Ammonia, so just wondering who says cracking produces NOx?

That's a factory leak. In a factory there will be dozens of potential points of failure. We will only have a tank with one feed pipe to the cracker, So likely just a couple of possible points of failure, no more than you would get with a tank of diesel or a tank of natural gas.

Ammonia is massively used around the world and the only leaks I've seen are factories or places where you know safety is never top of the list.
