Trying to sell these for daily charging isn't going to work IMVHO, because people would have to take this thing into the house at night, charge it up, then take it to the car the next day and sit there for 30 minutes waiting for the car to charge up.

When I charge my EV up anywhere other than at home I never ever wait. I take the car to the supermarket and am shopping whilst the car is charging up. I charge in the public car park whilst I am in the office working. I charge at a nearby hotel and the car is charging up whilst I'm having brunch on the hotel terrace. When I go to a town centre restaurant I park at the nearby car parks which all have multiple EV chargers, and I'm tucking into lobster thermidor and the Chablis whilst the car is charging up.

Reminds me of a chap I knew that had two cars, I asked him why he had two and he said "just in case one broke down" (yet they never did).

Actually it's a rise. It's only a spike if it goes back down.

EV Rally of Scotland to take place during COP26

These COP26 successes bode well for AFC, with AB at COP26 and likely drawing a lot of attention for our technology, and meeting new and existing clients there. Also, note how Fortescue and Argentina saved up their announcement for COP26, following an MOU signed months ago, which is a prime example of what I said AFC clients could do.

South Africa gets $8.5 billion to phase out coal, boost renewables

South Africa‘s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, announced today that France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United State will provide $8.5 billion in funds to help the country achieve the new carbon emission targets that were presented in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) brought to the COP26 conference in Glasgow, UK.

“The highly concessional finance that will be mobilised through this partnership will accelerate investment in renewable energy and the development of new sectors such as electric vehicles and green hydrogen,” the president said in a statement released. “This will provide a significant boost to investment and growth while ensuring Eskom can access resources to finance repurposing of coal-fired power stations due for decommissioning over the next 15 years.”

The operational update was published on 15 November in 2018, followed 2 days later by the EV Charger RNS.

This year, ABB was away at Extreme E and now away at COP26. The update is likely to be held back until his return.

Nobody can say whether 15 November, 3 November or 28 October is 'normal' for AFC, as it all depends what is happening at AFC at the time, and one thing is for certain, and that is AFC are far busier now than they were in 2020 or 2019!!

So long as the RNS arrives within a couple of weeks, which I am sure it will (within COP26 in fact!!) then that is fine with me, and I'd say 100% of the big boys.

This policy change therefore includes the AFC EV Charger (and the ABB version). Great news for clients looking at buying AFC/ABB EV Charger systems, as no potential 500% rates rise! I wonder how many EV Charger clients have been expecting this and will now sign deals.

Interesting project involving AFC and Professor John Varcoe. The Anion Exchange Membrane shows how long ago Alkamem was being developed. The Ammonia Cracker sounds especially interesting. The last snippet is with reference to AB saying we might get rid of the Ammonia Cracker at some point (only with Alkamem, it will still be needed for the L Series).

Was it in relation to CO2 capture by any chance? I came across some work Professor John Varcoe was working on that involved moisture and CO2. I can't find the exact page again, but I did find this which I think was the same project. It is electrolysis based so could use Alkamem. This would certainly be big news for COP26, if they have managed to do it.

I have no idea who said that, but it's clearly wrong.

I said that people should not big up AFC's green credentials and then do nothing themselves to help combat climate change. Everyone needs to do their bit, because every gram of CO2 counts.

I bought AFC in March 2009 at 0.8p and have held my shares ever since, apart from a small top slice in 2011 to make all of my holding free shares. I am not interested in trading so I have my shares in certificate form. I am here for the big money, the £'s per share money, and I won't be selling until I get it.

From 08:56:56 this morning, sell volume was 600k shares more than buy volume, as shown on ADVFN.

For the whole day this difference has stayed between 500k and 700k. So all day from that time there has been just as much buying as there has selling.

I would not be surprised to see a big jump up at the end.

Just approaching 2m in buys today, including several BIG chunks.
