Looking at the announcement, I see that setup as a Hybrid Generator, not a Hybrid Fuel Cell, AFC call it a "Hybrid Distributed Power System ", not a Hybrid Fuel Cell.

"early deployment", with systems "deployable in Q1", means orders need to be placed ASAP.

The HFC will be deployable in Q1 2022 running off direct
hydrogen;
-- Later versions of the HFC will be integrated with methanol
reformers to create complete off-grid power systems;
-- Customers have already expressed interest in early deployment
of the HFC.

The HFC will not necessarily be replaced by the S Series later on, as AFC also said that they will be adding a Methanol Reformer to the system later on. So long term for the client it ultimately depends what the client chooses to use, Hydrogen cylinders, Ammonia tanks, or Methanol tanks.

'Initially' to me only means versions "fed with Hydrogen", as the development of the HFC was based on a plan to use Methanol as an alternative fuel. Initially it will use Hydrogen, later on it will be fed on cracked Methanol.

I can't see to whom you were replying, but if that comment was directed at me you are very much mistaken, as I bought my AFC stock at 0.8p, so my wallet is looking fantastic, thanks.

Just let me know when the price reaches £10 per share, as I am waiting for the 125,000% profit, not the minuscule beans that day traders settle for.

Some have asked recently if the HFC contains Alkamem or a different membrane, so I have been looking into this.

It is possible that AFC have used the following IP to create the HFC, or created their own version of it, thus allowing them to still use Alkamem but change the catalyst. The IP was published in May 2020.

"Some aspects of the invention may be related to increasing the ability to use cheaper fuels containing CO 2 (such as reformed Methanol, Ethanol, etc.) in Alkaline Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (AEMFC). In order to do so, special catalysts have been developed. Such catalysts may enable to produce electrical current using reactions (4) and (5) disclosed above. In some embodiments, the newly developed catalysts may further enhance reaction (1), thus improving the overall performance of the AEMFC."

Either way, it's clear from the IP that it's possible to use Alkamem with Methanol, if you change the electrode chemistry, so more likely that they have done so rather than change the Membrane.

AFC certainly think there is, going by the trading update of 16 December.

We already had 50+ qualified sales leads in June last year, some looking at multiple system orders.

AFC have clearly created the HFC to fit in with what many customers want ASAP. No way did AFC spend time and money developing the HFC without firstly knowing what many clients wanted via existing sales discussions and enquiries. No way have AFC put the HFC into fast track production without serious 'qualified sales leads' into which to sell it. HFC is designed to fill a hole in the market for many clients. HFC will be ready for deployment this month, so sales deals could drop any second of any day.

As for share price yoyo, just do a chart of AFC vs CWR vs ITM vs PPS, they all follow the same ups and downs with the only exception being one moving to a new level on big news, it then resumes the same pattern at that level.

Posts like that just give credibility and justification to those shorting AFC or trying to drive the price down so they can buy the stock cheaper, surely the only one's that would do that are the people doing it themselves or the very naïve.

My assessment of this board is that 75% of people posting are trading, hence when the bashers arrive a lot of those claiming to be 'genuine long term holders' all disappear under a rock, then come back as soon as the bottom is hit and the price starts going back up. Many of them possibly have two logins, one for bashing and one for ramping, hence only one of these is active when the price is going up/down.
