Sageman Thankyou so much for mentioning which blackrock fund (gold and general) has probably been buying, others have just been saying.. blackrock.. . thx.
I am appalled at the amount of debt our gov is holding, is it nearly our total gdp now? Ive run a small business 30 yrs and woulnt run it this way. Unfortunately this year things will change and decisions will be tax driven, the latest is if self emp exceeds certain turnover thresholds they go from one to five tax returns a year, I dont want the hassle so will stop installations and continue service repairs only which is high profit low turnover. Crazy.
If with this amount of debt and 30 year guilts rise, n debt repayments rise or worse, do gold mining shares (ggp) offer any protection or just physical gold. (im an engineer not an accountant !) (Obviously discussion only not advice) As this is slightly off topic ill post the subject once and not again unless others interested.
With ggp im in heavy, so for metals and miners 90pc ggp for long long term eventually divi, 10pc brwm (will change to gold n gen) hoc fres. No physical. I note youtube is saying hold 20pc in pm gold, physical and bitcoin !!!!! and a little distrust in the fortcoming budget. Sa if your on benefits you may have none of these problems.. you can have an airplane, couple of vincents, couple of classic cars, land with a building with one side open, 2mill 5 bed hse many empty rooms, and get virtually no council tax (£3400 for terraced outer london) subsidised power, free food, enough money to run a dog. aaagghhhh But you have to have less than certain amount of savings so none here can do this!
