Adfn board very active, why not here?
12 percent up today,
Many times a rise exceeds previous peaks as now it goes on up, however I can see this many times before with aau then it goes down. This rise looks much steeper.
Is it price of gold lifting this, or other.. anyone know??
Hi star
i did buy small amount and out today 2 percent loss to buy caspian oil..
No on knows but my opinion upside her limited and as u say might not even break out. This and unilever have the "moat" of uncopiable products people wont change from. Im not so sure. Caspian still risky but much bigger upside
imo.
MD The question is, when will we have detail of the deal and shares tradable again.
Very very sad as RY was helpful and charismatic at shareholder meetings, and a truly gifted geologist.
As an aim compony director with shareholders interests at heart and dealmaker, not good.
Im just grateful we have ag on here to help with the capital from sale of assetts of the company through special dividend being treated as capital return. I don't want to pay tax on a loss. (Average 12p)
I hope peeps recognise the effort age will put in on that and getting shareholders to unite.

""Just for those that cant be ******* looking ....... The Block 8 contract area extends over 2,823 km2 with three identified structures and production from two existing wells. It was previously owned by LG International the Korean conglomerate, which in 2006 began the acquisition of 3D seismic data over approximately 456 km2. In recent years two deep wells have been drilled to depths of 4,203 meters and 3,449 meters respectively, from which oil has flowed at rates of up to 800 bopd."""
Diver, just tolet u know this sort of concise factual summary very much appreciated from me, and I guess others. Q.
Chart .. flatish, rise, minor retrace, 2nd bigger rise, minor retrace, ive seen so many like this where there is a 3rd rise even bigger.
(age) Indeed 315k USD pa for what must be a part time job.
Nice work if you can get it!
.
No problem at all if carry his shareholders along with impressive results. (40p to 3p)
Now the worry of the tax treatment of return of my capital from a company that has never made a profit.
Age.. wow u sure kept tabs on pfc.. whats ur view in next 6 months... What else are u watching with multi potential. Oxford bio is huge disappointment. With a board that could sell and make deals could have been better. Sad considering how many would benefit from accurate psa test.
Still waiting for amc board to clarify tax treatment of special divi capital return, and provide details of their new investment.
So not clear Age..I am not an accountant!
So you have a company that never made any money, buy shares over a long period whose average value is 12p, when they are around 3p part of the company sold and money returned as a special dividend, isn't that capital returned? When the shares are sold lets say for 1 or 2 p then the part of the company sold is part of the capital LOSS, how could tax be due on a capital loss.
My dividend stream dealing account exceeds the div allowance. After covid and the war self empincome is now only 15k, the tax on the LOSS would be more than I earn.
Diver, isnt there a maximum of 20k ino an isa per year? Can I shift from dealing to iisa ?
The 2024 20k allowance will be used on shares as rolls royce glaxo aviva l and g all low risk.
I see caspian as high risk but with a couple of successful outcomes deep or shallow between 12 and 70p in time.
I am confused about this divi talked about. Is it a one off capital return special div or start of dividend stream please, can you point me to the rns, thanku.
The divi some of you speak of, are you saying that is the start of a permanent dividend or a one of special div.
If its a one of special I hope casp clearly state that it is a capital return special divi,
Otherwise those with casp in a dealing account will lose ££££s in tax.
Riskin it
Thx for heads up on aei I will reseaearch.
Strange year, overall successful.
My picks have averagely beaten cty and global income and growth, but not in the way I expected. Huge blue chip vod managed to lose 30 percent yielding 11%, div Caspian oil started today 36 pc up, Rolls Royce supposedly stable one doubled, Oxford bio with its new 98pc effective psa test down 40p to 12p. Insurers with their 8pc divi gently rising. Glaxo rising. Uraniuum etf only couple percent higher than when I bought mid 23, thats big surprise.
I would rather a couple of funds that choose the shares and provide a div as cty though.
It will get even more difficult when pension has to be converted to annuity or drawdown, why give insurers vod glaxo etc yielding around 6pc to annuity. provider.... Is cty safer ???? ... haha discuss only not advice.
Prior to that in the interest of diversity maybe be picking up divi producing gold silver copper nickel iron ore miners.
Are we still hoping for 70p best case within 2 yrs,
Im finding it hard to understand the recent posts, please think of newbies joining the train ride and write clearly, thankyou.
I thought caspian had decided to nuse the boat themselves and give up attempting to lease to other companies, is that wrong.?
nb If a special div was declared if they taylor it as dividend you will pay top up to top rate tax, if taylored for capital return much less. If its not clear you will have to go to tribunal with hmrc.
Dogberry, I am not understanding why when uranium was 80 half a year ago, now 106, why urnp has fallen.
Unilever or diaggio... ??? Diaggio has had lower lows higher highs for 2 years, last couple weeks looked as though may have bottomed but then down again. Any reason why it should turn round right now ???? Maybe unilever is better.!
Haleon hav a policy of rising divi. Anyone know what gsk policy is, and ifit seems to be gently rising since the split, and likely to rise in future.. opinion only of course.
Theo
A well negotiated rto will convert the cash intomuch higher value if all goes right, The shareholders will take the risk. At the start of trading you can sell if you want. Its probably a very good idea of age to form a group in case the boards interest is not aligned with shareholders in the deal. Before a decision we need the detail.
With cash return you may lose up to 40pc in tax on your CAPITAL LOSS depending what words they use for the capital return and be unable to reclaim losses by setting against and have to negotiate the detail with hmrc.
Age.. Nice podcast, Ill subscribe to it, Thankyou.
In process of getting quotes for annuity, considering you lose your capital the rates aren't good. I am told they buy 15 yr guilts to fund an annuity. I wonder how risky drawdown would be ..I am well aware how you can lose not gain on even huge divi shares... vod 230 to 80. Woodford. etc.
Age.. its possible that if amc see this thread they might take greater care with shareholders interests in order that rto doesn't get voted down. A good rto would be much better than "special div capital return"
nb I moved my nickel etf profit into urnp uranium etf in the summer, As there is a known shortfall. So far only 10pc up, are u in uranioum? Any thoughts? There has just been a new uranium miners etf created.
Anyone in oxford bio? A group of scientists created a non intrusive psa addon test.. told the market they done a trial 98pc accurate... 6 months later results show they sold very few. mmm amazing story and a board hugely experienced in their field and not capable of finance deals sales, jobs to familly,... sound familiar ?????
