I think the poor communication has now led to the thinking that actually these guys are not able to forecast properly or conservatively. They did plenty of communicating last year but it was all wrong.
Debt it rising as Yanfolila is run poorly which is the total opposite of what was sold to us early last year ' debt free cash generative miner with 2 large projects reaching milestones '. Dan Betts used to be beside himself when asked why the share price was declining.
Fast forward 12-18 months, production has not been hit for ages and excuse after excuse has been rolled out. It's fair the share price is where it is.
The board need to show us they can run Yanfolila much better and they need to show us what Dugbe is actually worth ( which i'm 100% sure they are working on ).

But for what it's worth i don't believe Dugbe will be sold for huge sums - all sorts of deals might yet be done with regards future cashflows and royalties etc. We should not look at that DFS and think it's worth 650m dollars. Someone show me a DFS for an asset that was sold for anything like the value mentioned.

I'd like to think Dugbe is worth 100m dollars to someone but you just don't know until it happens. If it was a slam dunk a lot of people would be buying this at 50% higher than where we are today.

The share price is now the lowest since i started investing here years ago. I remain a holder with 1.2m shares.
I am very much looking forward to attending this AGM.
Rightly or wrongly the market thinks they can't run Yanfolila, Dugbe isn't worth much and we will be indebted to the hills getting Kouroussa running ( if DB can even operationally oversee this properly ).

Gold is actually stubbornly high right now, if you had told all of us it would be 1800+ for a sustained period a year ago we would have snapped your hand off.

I think they will sell it too. I find it very hard to believe our share isn’t worth at least our market cap today I really do.

5% is a stupid discount rate. I reckon divide the number by 3 at least.

Well the DFS is out and no movement yet... guess we will have to wait longer...

And before people jump on me for being negative I hold a scary number of shares here and really do want them all to get their heads down and run this business properly and transparently !

Again call me old-fashioned but guess work around the price here is irrelevant. Even the going concern statement admits that there are so many factors involved to the end of 2023 when it comes to forecasting solvency that it's hard to say.

This management team needs to make good on the things that it keeps saying make this company special and showing the inherent value here.

I hope they are working hard on options for Dugbe and that Koroussa hits the ground running big time whilst Yanfolila picks up. Anyone invested here now needs these things to happen without a bunch more failures or bad luck.

Finally a statement from Dan Betts recognising the failures in 2021 and the need to address them. Call me old-fashioned but having him pen this sort of admission at the start of the 2021 accounts feels good to me.

You cannot run a business with your head in the sand and that's what it's felt like for a while.

Timing of returns demands a premium but as Florence says if it’s 2m-40m and the horizon is 7 years then we have something roughly accurate to price today.

Sher-Lock... It might be expensive work but MAFL arn't paying for it. Ascendant might not have the money or let us down but there is no sign of that and they've made all prior payments.

There are a few people here interested in this company and quantifying how cheap it is based on the current share price who understand the NAV, what's in the NAV and where the NAV is likely to go.

You are not one of them you're just saying that some big mine will never get off the ground and that's you done.

There is plenty on offer here even if the mine takes another 8 years. So you've got 8 whole years to get your head around the NAV and talk to us.

I'm with Shaz. This is still a business with a % of a giant EU mine ( which is desperately needed looking forward ). Also we have a big chunk of our MC coming in cash this year and a bunch of listed securities worth millions.

Nothing dodgy about it but each to their own!

Well if he wants to sell he is in the same boat as JV too. I doubt JV is worried about how liquid his holding is - the business isn't going anywhere is it.
