During a recent site visit I listened in on a conversation between a bunch of engineers. One of them was concerned that there were also wiring issues: seems they couldn't find an extension cable long enough to get to the staff vending machines in the tunnel....unions are up in arms insisting that without a coffee machine the work will stop.

We'll soon know. Personally it feels like the deal is still on...otherwise they would have had to notify the market surely.

Nothing ever happens as fast as PIs would like: unfortunately complex situations take as much time as is needed.

What's the bet the deal will be coincidentally signed just in time to be released before the AGM so the event can be celebrated face to face with investors...?

I can't imagine anyone is 'content', however I for one don't plan to stress about something I personally cannot change except by selling. My choice is not to.

So you mean that after holding all this time, suddenly large investors sell at a huge loss?

Probably needs thinking through a bit more I feel, taking into account the two legacy issues.

So apart from Polygon, which of the other II's would sell at 108p and why would Polygon want to buy at that?(given that most of them bought significant amounts at between 180's and 230's, not to mention M&G who were above that)

Given the rules about offers and shareholder votes, how do you see this risk being significant?

It's very easy to get carried away with the instant reaction to this disappointing news (as we can see in the sp) however my non-technical mind sees the FO and Winx1 as two separate and distinct 'projects'.

What about a Winx-2?

Either way I took the opportunity to add more early on. Time will tell.

Despite this morning's news I've been thinking through the possible impact on the FO discussions.

Yes, success at Winx1 would have been fantastic for us all and possibly provided some upside on whatever discussions are happening re FO.

However I struggle to understand why they should impact the FO discussions negatively. The famous data room has been open for months; FO discussions were well underway before Winx1 and based on the potential of the available data; analysis will have been done by potential farminees' own teams.

So why would today's news affect the FO discussions?

Sensible answers are appreciated.

How could they not issue an RNS about the outcome when they did so about it proceeding?

What were the other issues you wanted updates on? I'm the only one to have even remembered the Aviva case so far!

Last year it was May...earlier than previously.

As the business is even simpler now I'd hope to see those accounts earlier too.

On what basis should the claim against Aviva have been settled, or was that more of a wish?

What other issues were you referring to as us having to guess at?

What other issues do you feel they should update us on?

-SFO is out of their hands
-SGH claim has a court date
-Claim against Aviva is ongoing
- YLF threat is closed. Any other threatened claim woukd be RNSd
- Business update was given and continues

What else has changed since January?
