Well...I read both the original claim and defense, absorbing as much as my tiny Scouse brain could handle. Then the recent ruling allowing our counterclaim.

In parallel I follow discussion on HotCopper.

With the various documents and statements made public to date, I struggle to see how SGH can mount a credible case, regardless of my bias.

Unless of course the QPP team really did misrepresent the value of the business, and to date, the SFO appear not to have taken any action regarding fraud which might then tip the balance.

Hi....there is no ongoing claim by shareholders against WTG. One was threatened years ago, however it seems to have been a PR exercise by ambulance chasers. Good luck with yours, however.

Just one tiny fraction of the document referred to in the Counterclaim rns is this from the judge:-

"I consider that that material, on its face, does give rise to very much more than a real prospect of success in relation to the causes of action which are identified. In particular, the email at p.158 of the bundle, which is the email from Gareth Davies on 16 January, clearly contains information which, on its face, is prima facie confidential and it is known to be confidential, and the emails that follow and the contents of those emails show that all those concerned within Greenhill are well aware that what was being done is something that is not appropriate. "

The judge believes it's relevant and allowed it to be heard in October; no 3yr wait on this one.

WTG had to litigate to get the documents released by SGH on this....PWC also open to a claim here I suspect lol.

SGH (allegedly) came to the table expecting to pay significantly more.
