RE: Is there a business here?30 May 2025 11:31
IES is now trading in a completely different market and the future opportunities are plain to see. The flow battery opportunity is now at an advanced stage across many countries, clearly IES thought it would have been sooner, but there were some unexpected delays.
Just remember, we are talking about billions not millions £/$ of contracts of which IES is now well placed and talking to governments and partners across the globe. They have history and fully approved and tested product which is reducing in cost and increasing in performance - plus it doesn't set of fire, its quiet, its fully recyclable after use and it lasts at least 25 years!
The IES operating yearly costs are high yes, as they are not just messing about with the few countries here and there, they are a true global offering across in-house production and licensed partnership production with strong IP on the cell stack produced in UK and Canada.
Clearly some who comment are looking backwards on the performance and expected the same again! They are not looking into the detail and opportunity that is available in this changes market. The detail that we have discussed and is mainly highlighted by theoldtrader on regular basis TBH - Thank you again for this theoldtrader 👍
On the cash, no one's picked up the LODES contract and that IES will have an asset on the books generating future revenue or can be sold off if required. It's an approx £20m turnover with £7 to £10 million government funding returned. Also some or most of the larger contracts will have forward finance plus if they start to secure contracts, I really can't see this causing any issues with raising cash via short term loans.
Gamesa - in my opinion is not in any projected numbers at this stage, they also have an option to buy 8,672,273 shares at £1.75 extended to May 2026. Okay this maybe a stretch, but why extend by 1 year in the first place! Hopefully if we are talking about any share price dilution this will be it.
Might be wrong but I don't think IES will require new funding that will dilute, yes, maybe some loan facility or (dare I say it ) a CLN scheme (not a fan of this one TBH) but IES only need one of these billion £ contracts from the UK and this will change all the numbers completely!
Never any guarantees when dealing with shares - especially on AIM, but this set up is looking very good!
So i've put my money where my mouth is and have taken a few extra shares once the frenzy had stopped this morning - a few of those 60k & 50ks buys just after 10am are mine!!!
Good luck all! 🤞
