Hi Lochnez
I specifically said that I am not saying this applies to PRD/Guercif
but we simply cannot know
I had found it very interesting that the drill bit stopped where it did and did not drill deeper...
As to the types of UHP sysyems...
please ignore folk who say that they are only found at GREAT depths...that is NOT the case
far from it in fact!!!!!!!
Neogene plays are often involved ...and at comparatively shallow depths
My reason for being interested is that I too am keen to know the interfaces
between the rocks/drill rig/pressure /BOP etc
right now...we simply do not know
Anyone who is interested would do worse than study the Chinese work on the matter...there are several Papers published
Of course the Americans know a thing or two about UHP systems...
inter alia...The Powder River Basin is well known ...albeit very different to our own acreage
To me....
there now appear to be many features of the licences PRD has that bear similarity to some within the Complex Thrusted Fold Belt of the Zagros ...
I know that geology quite well (for a layman of course)
having spent endless hours discussing/poring over it with the late great Adnan Samarrai...
who ...heaven forbid...
actually knew more about it than every person on here combined (including me of course)
well maybe not more than the bloke in Penrith ...
who has expertise that continually surprises us all
(expertise with Google is now quite sought after, I am sure)

Thanks Mick...that looks really good stuff!
I will print/study it
I have also been studying very high pressure zones in foreland basins...
there are only about 180 in the whole world...almost always associated with VERY substantial hydrocarbon figures...and I really do mean substantial
I am not saying that PRD has that ...
but the Paper (Chinese) is mighty interesting/informative in any event
EVERYONE...
PLEASE DYOR
Absorb all we have been told...we have been told a LOT!

Thanks Foot and Mouth
As you will note...
LSE kindly removed the offending posts very quickly...
for that... I am most grateful to them...THANKS LSE
Many people ...both on here and much wider afield ...know my personal identity
The man (?) posted highly defamatory stuff...
it was clearly vexatious
and intended to cause reputational and thus financial damage to me
The fact that I have carried out many $billions of deals...including personally with the then King of Saudi Arabia might give that poster some food for thought re scale of problem
I just happen to be heavily engaged in the hydrocarbon sector in my latest career
An email had already gone to my lawyers ...re issuance of proceedings
Thanks again

One of the several things that jumped out at me in the above RNS was this:
((Import long-lead consumables (cement and mud chemicals, casing and well heads) in advance of drilling MOU-4 (targeted Q4 2021) to replenish MOU-1 well inventories.))
Well HEADS...plural
Does anyone on here please have hands on experience with different types of well head equipment?
I am thinking particularly about the safety equipment at well head needing to be more robust than usual
were the very increased mud weighting to be indicative (which I think it probably is) of high pressure zones at MOU1
If that were the case ...and given that MOU4 will be drilled up dip...
perhaps the pressure regime THERE will be 'interesting'
Of course...as we read...
the reason put out re dual testing was to save money...and I have no doubt that is correct
but I have heard of 'dual wells testing' in US...
Again...it would be really good if anyone on here could please comment on that practice
Thanks

I would like to thank all those people who have /are kindly donating money to DOTS
In the pantheon of great charities...
DOTS is high on the list IMO
and it's run totally by VOLUNTEERS!!!
to help the homeless and their canine companions
I am very aware of several lives ...both human and canine ...
that have been SAVED by their interventions
Thanks again

Great research Methodology...
Thank you
Maybe now some people here
might start to understand the equation that I have referred to for many years and thus WHY I am here ...in volume
Hydrocarbon ENERGY is THE holy grail
Hydrocarbon ENERGY = Porosity x permeability x charge
ALL THREE ARE ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS
MOU1 has all three attributes ...
In abundance
(yes I am keeping quiet about much wider than MOU1 ...because you would call for the 'men in white coats')
Thanks again Methodology
Folk here are in your debt

GRH
Terrific work Methodology...thank you
As I keep saying (and the idiots keep trying to suppress)
Success in E&D (D for discovery!) is 99% down to identifying/discovering :
hydrocarbon ENERGY
Hydrocarbon ENERGY = Porosity x permeability x charge
It is more brutally simple than many would admit...
but of course, being ABLE to CONSISTENTLY & ACCURATELY identify
hydrocarbon energy (preferable remotely)
requires something VERY special indeed (I will not turn this into an advert)
As to Permeability = there is a LOT
As to Porosity = there is a LOT
As to charge = there is a LOT
Maybe NOW even the dimmest minds might start to understand WHY I am here...in volume
As always...
DYOR
Caveat emptor
I am just an anonymous name to most here
Thanks again Methodology...
Everyone here is in your debt

John Henry
Thank you!
QED...
you have illustrated my point VERY well indeed
I posted this re Ireland:
((But I wonder what the effect on sentiment/SP might be ))
Your reply was :
((Ireland is of little importance to the market, something may happen may not.))
So one can only begin to wonder what the galvanising effect on SP might be ...
were Ireland to surprise us

GRH
Perhaps shareholders should not discount Ireland
Obviously, we know little of what is going on WRT the PRD proposition
and that is appropriate ...
given the very large scale of the opportunity
and the political issues relating to the greening agenda
But I wonder what the effect on sentiment/SP might be ...
were some favourable words to be publicised re the PRD proposition
Just musing...of course

Good informative post Seabright...thank you
The very first words:
'Hydrocarbon generation intensity /energy
is the most important geochemical factor to estimate large and middle gas fields.
It is important understand this and remember the FOCUS should be on the probability whether traps can be charged.'
Hmmm
Unsure WHAT to say really:)
hasn't some old boy on here been wittering on for MANY YEARS about that very fact?
I rather think GRH has :)
the world is awash with hydrocarbons...
some geologies very much more so than others of course
but it is primarily ENERGETIC hydrocarbons that deliver the greatest results
BUT
the simple truth remains unchanged
Hydrocarbon ENERGY = Charge x porosity x permeability
It is very surprising how many companies seem to lose sight of that simple fact
It is why SO many E&Ps fail in their primary objective
and THAT is why I only invest in winners ...

Afternoon
PLEASE have a look at my twitter feed..
@GrahamHengland
on it, I am asking for help for one of the very finest charities...DOTS
They do WONDERFUL work...
in all weathers...
Some of the stories would make 'grown men weep'
They are volunteers...
living hand to mouth/performing extraordinary feats
NOT some mega charity ...
where the 'managers' rip off the money for their own betterment
If you can please help...please do
All involved with DOTS would be most grateful
Thanks very much

Zeus
HOW interesting is that!
So Haemo is a woman, you hear?
HMMM..
There was a woman invested in GKP
unfortunately... she did everything wrong...lost a fair amount of money as I recall
She became very embittered by her own shortcomings
I might try to dig out her name
Meanwhile ...
a bit of fun on a non trading day
'your backbone's connected to your ... bone/etc /etc
(well...you name it really)

Morning Chancers
Interesting post of yours...you clearly believe that you know better
That being so...you must have wide experience of dealing at high levels in countries with a different culture to our own
I am always delighted to learn...
So..please spell out what that wide experience entails
Thanks very much
