My guess is that Shaun will proceed with a 'place-marker dividend'. An easily affordable amount, but signalling to institutions that given the right conditions, we're set-up to be an income generating stock. Should keep everyone happy..

I bought a few diggers (including GGP) on the way down, but I've been trying to hold back until ISAs reset next month. This morning I bought few sovereigns. The lowest spot gold price and coin premium I've seen in a few months, not to mention the 1.5% cashback on my debit card. My expectation is that when sentiment turns it will be swift, and the bullion dealers will raise their premiums to give themselves some spread. I'm quite relaxed, for the moment..

I saw all of my diggers sell off, so I bought a few physical sovereigns at the lowest they've been (cost + premium) for months. When this turns, my expectation is that it will be fast and consequently premiums will become defensive again.

There was an ad for II on LBC last evening. It said something to the effect of - We'd like to welcome the flurry of new clients we've received recently due to the revised pricing structure of one of our esteemed and long-standing competitors....

I think we're witnessing evidence that sound, shrewd and honest management can make the difference between winner and 'also ran'. Let's all hope this continues for the foreseeable.. :)
