Yes they were first question so clearly think this is starting to go in the right direction. I like all the references to making the primary asset super optimal and provide basically a stable platform to then expand... Gold prices now will look very cheap in 12 months and I think so will this share (even more so) expecting a very good return here from these levels.

Personally cannot see a better place to park a chunk of cash in these uncertain times - so last few days that is what I have been doing.

Why

1. This could easily be taken over - huge "world class" gold resource - currently a low price
2. IMO Gold is going one way long term - significantly higher
3. Halving of value here last 3 months is way overdone - purely on a technical basis this is a "buy"
4. Yield 6 - 7% solid yield - thats hard to find
5. Having watched todays investor event, the team are committed to making this a highly productive resource and laser like focus on cost. With gold rising as I expect this will make for some excellent numbers further down the track.

I imagine there are a fair few buy buttons being primed today...

Great update and some fantastic costing projections as cey moves forward. Couple that with a likely much higher gold price and you have a lovely situation for shareholders.

well gold price is getting a tear on.

One of my other holds... A very nice RNS out today which secures the companies future (20 year license extension). Valued at just over cash and EU gas prices are rising fast now... Its a certainty to track higher over the winter (gas producer)

Personally I think gold to 2500 - 3500 within 18 months. You cannot keep printing trillions the world over and not have more of a gold reaction. Bitcoin is leading the way. Gold will follow. The dam will break at some point.

The amount of money that will need to be printed to fund the recovery, gold has been systematically ground down last month or so but I think its on the turn. How this has lost 50% of its value is beyond me... Been buying last few days.

Yes, this really should be higher than it is, despite all the license shenanigans. The bottom line is when it moves it goes that fast you need to be in .

I know almost here think we got a great deal with this purchase but we disagree on quite how much its worth. I have said I think it’s worth more than the current mkt cap alone.

Why?

2 main reasons.

I pretty much think mtro stole it. No deals were being done. I assume you lot have read that the 2 parties never even met to transact this. It was bought at peak Covid. Deals were just not happening and this was effectively daylight robbery.

Second reason is scale. Ratesetter is a limitless tool. Mtro will grow it substantially but a big player buys it and you can roll it out as large as you want. It’s a method like google search. It’s basically tech and it’s cost of expansion is low. But the more cheap capital you can get the better you can possibly make it.

Ratesetter could easily out grow mtro. It’s a brilliant platform and I think going forward it will be a model that is copied.

I would prefer a deal but I can see that long term brexit has its advantages. The price we pay to get them would be high though. Deal makes sense for all sides.

Although a no deal brexit is sub optimal , particularly initially. Longer term the eu will regret it as it forces us to basically look for ways to shaft them. That means creating a hyper friendly business environment which encourages business here despite the additional overheads brexit creates. Make no mistake long term this will be a nightmare for the eu. I’m pretty sure a deal is coming as they know this.

Mrel could be a rabbit out the hat post Brexit. We can after all print money. Would they consider a 500 billion limit and put 2 fingers up to the eu? Everything is possible. Personally I think it will go up to circa 50 billion. It was never supposed to de stabilise smaller operators and that is what it is doing.

Reports in telegraph. They are surely circling metro as well. Monday should be interesting.

Metro will be very attractive to numerous potential suitors, and ratesetter will be highly prized. Odey strating to close and at a decent rate is a very good sign as well. He clearly thinks they have made their money here... May he even go long?

This is a cracking buy at 200m and it will be much higher very soon.

Stand fully behind my expectation that this will be 200p for Christmas.
