Re read this list for a recap!

1. Significant CEO outlay.. That does not need any further explanation
2. Co ordinated value destruction and reputational mud slinging by those with vested interests (shorts)
3. Very large short position that has not changed despite the macro environment improving significantly
4. UK requirement (not wish) for a strong economic recovery - that necessitates strong banks. Announcements will reflect this reality - Read MREL etc etc
5. Banks are highly cyclical and the cycle is now moving to the bull side
6. MTRO stands out to me as the most battered sector member - again i want the best return - thats why I am here
7. High street presence is still a big advantage but it needs to be proportionate (ie a decent footprint but not branches in every town) - that is what I see here
8. Strong digital offering
9. Ratesetter - I see this as being worth a LOT of money...

How would someone "know" what price Goldman acquired the stock - that would be INSIDE INFORMATION. They are not directors of the company or other insiders so as per any other holdings RNS, unless you can match trades you will not be able to work it out... But you know at least some of the stock involved was acquired on the 18th. Clearly some could have been acquired before then..

The threshold was crossed on the 18th.. They don't have to say at what price.

That is such a lazy statement... You cannot just look at technical, unless you are range trading specific instruments you need to look wider than that... And its the same peeps who say it, and follow it up with coming back down to *** insert random number here ****..

They probably have no idea how to read RSI or candles or actually process the information they think they possess so they just spout out utter nonsense.

In the current "covid" markets if you are trading on technical, sorry but you are totally thick. TA absolutely has a place but you will miss the real diamonds now if you try to use them, and them only at the moment.

Said it before and I’ll say it again as so many just seem totally thick tbh. When this fell from 4000p for months the technicals were oversold and it kept falling. They may be short term over bought but the market cap is way to low so just forget it!! Jesus. There would be some queue if we can ever work out how to do a brain transplant.

That’s why gs went long and shorts have not really started to close. Loving this. Follow the money. I think this will just keep grinding back towards the major fundraise price around 400 to 500p

It was easier to push lower but things have changed... and so have positions. This is a fantastic bargain / opp at this level. Very few will have averages down here. Take advantage.

BTW Odey - who many of you despise, is starting a new fund for people wanting to "protect their capital in a high inflation environment"...

Thats what the boomers have done for years, and they will try and pull that trick again here...

That said - Odey is going to be busy doing that - personally I think he knows a reasonable number of his remaining positions on his fund which is short on MTRO are not where he would want them so he is now distancing himself having made good returns and will let some junior unwind the positions and see the fund "performance" go downhill while he is busy doing something else.....

matlot, this is a divisive subject... And I am happy for you to disagree... I am fully aware my opinion is quite probably not the majority view, but it is my opinion and it is a view that is now gaining some traction, and it will take more than a few paras from you on a BB to change it.. That said I do have respect for you having an alternate opinion. Time will tell and we will see how things "pan out" we clearly differ in terms of where we see things going.

And by the way, I am not saying pensioners "have not worked hard" I am just saying that wealth distribution has become hugely distorted and govt policy greatly favours the old.
