Blow me down with a feather because for the life of me I cannot remember what you asked him directly. What you're describing here is what was already in the MOU. EMH as a business wanted to work with Czech gov and industry. Unfortunately, the green eyed monster has stuck it's oar in and screwed everything up.

If they want the asset then it's really quite simple and there is a time honoured procedure in order to do that. That is, speak and negotiate with the bod in private. You do not immediately go to the press and tell all and sundry what your demands are. Odd, very odd....

Earache, I completely agree with you that they might be interlinked and the whole thing stinks to high heaven. As I said yesterday, this is a pincer movement that is trying to flush out our bod.

From recollection, when Arca first bought into emh they were quoted as saying they got involved in order to protect lithium production in the czech republic and emh/shareholders from the government. That statement in itself was a rather strange thing to attribute oneself to dont you think? Beware the fifth columnists.....

CTW2014, this thought did cross my mind yesterday but didn't want to bring it up. On reflection how easy was it for them to raise the price by 40-50% on a mere whiff of a takeover.

As they call themselves "activist" investors, I have experience of other "activists" with other aim related companies and it becomes apparent that their modus operandi is strikingly similar. They buy a relatively small shareholding between 1-5% and over a period of time start to demand changes/criticise the BOD of the companies in question. This is also posted online and through social media to get the maximum exposure. When things are going good they will also praise the BOD to high heaven but at the same time sell their holdings down in order to buy back in cheaper. As far as I'm concerned "activist" investor fund managers should be shunned because they invariably enrich themselves and pee on every other shareholder.

Having had this afternoon to think about today's announcement and also look into KGI and the way they have behaved previously I think it best to wait and see how this pans out over the next few weeks. Initially I was delighted that we may be seeing a chink of light but that thought was quickly dampened when I realised who was doing the talking. Make no mistake, if no offer is forthcoming then that tells us everything. I hope to be proven wrong on this and tbh when I first invested here I never envisaged that we'd be adding political intrigue into the mix but you live and learn.

Good question. Up to now, the alleged interested party has bought into the company. They have released an op-ed to the bod telling everyone about how they need to be removed and others to take the reins. Then in sept they issued a letter to the Czech government saying that a collaboration between a private czech company (them) and diamo would be the best way to move forward. I cannot remember seeing it before but it leaves me a little bit surprised they would do such a thing due to small fact that they hold none of the rights to the site. That is why I used the word bluster.

MrC, I agree. After looking at their previous antics I think this whole scenario is bluster pure and simple.

Four Princes, thanks for the article. I read it quickly but my take on it is slightly different from the end, in that it looks more like they want to form a partnership rather than a buyout. Need to read it again.

It appears to me that this is no coincidence that they've intimated that an offer is in the works. It looks to me that this is a pincer movement with us between the jaws of the Czech gov and a Czech lithium company ( who until now had never heard of) that sent a letter to the gov in sept looking to get involved with cinovec. I expect we will be presented with a lowball offer that they hope we will accept. 70p ATM and I'd bite their hand off.

Wilbert, read that post as well and was surprised at the implications of it at the time because I was of the opinion that they were going to go straight in. However, either way I'm not concerned ATM, just a bit frustrated with a small f. As long as they get it right I'll be happy.

Over on the advfn site, a poster called puffet has given an explanation as to what has happened. I think he was the poster that came on here and said the AM would be in rotterdam for 3 weeks and given shortshrift on here for that comment. Looks like he maybe has his ear to the ground. Looks like there is nothing to worry about atm....

NW, give it a rest please. I'm sure you're boring the gonads off most of us. But, if you're really looking for diversity can I suggest we start looking for a black(wo)man, a red Indian and maybe an Eskimo for good measure. I'm sure there are plenty of those kicking around with the required skills.
