wickymicky its called dyslexia mate... look it up ;)
More likely share buyback will happen then
Moan moan moan... If it was Edelman in this situation we would have been bust and out of the game to even consider a settlement.. If we actually did get to this point Edelman would have been selling all his shares with LOAM (he is a snake and he absolutely did this with the Apple contract). Another rule in US litigation.. the bigger the damages value the less likely it will ever be upheld and ever get paid. Focus is on the future now... yes Samsung was only QLED main player (they made it that way). Others who have copied (smaller but still significant market) will want to make sure they dont get pulled into court.. Other LED panel manufacturers will want to extend their manufacturing runway and move to QLED and cheap and easy upsell (compete with Samsung with no risk of IP infringement now), I would as its a no brainer as panel OEM. This all high potential. Yes it is a hard pill to swallow that Nanoco are back to square 1 from year 8 years now... but are they really? Absolutely not. Ofcourse actions speak louder than words. But if you have learnt anything from this saga - buy on the rumor and sell on the news. Next time perhaps we don't make that mistake.
apology for terrible spelling and grammarr... at least you can be sure my posts are not written by a bot! LOL
I really hope the serial moaners can move on soon... Brian was handed a broke company on its knees and pulled it through Covid to survive a trial with Samsung. ME put it there who was far more self serving. To get a dime out of Samsung was a great result.. who knows. If anyone actually thinks that we were guaranteed any success needs to go research the story of Dan Brown. His patented adjustable wrench was reverse engineered and manufactured in China by Sears (because it was cheaper to produce in China not USA)... blatant infringing his patent and know-how. He went through PTAB (death squad) - won, went to trial - won, retrial - lost?? (reasons to this day unknown!). Anyone who knows IP knows the whole patent system is broken and rigged. Samsung are making huge investments in Texas (Gilstrap will have vested interests). Take a offer or take nothing or wait another 5 years and get nothing... What would you do? If you miss calculated payout amount (I did) then your own fault... I still haven't sold as the golden golden rule of patents is that yours patent is only good as your first lawsuit.. lets see how true that statement is now. My strategy is to shut up sit and watch BTs and possibly Tariq's next move... I wouldn't be surprised if many many litigation finance/legal companies from USA were now knocking on the door and helping with research of who to go for next and how (the yanks love a winner) GLA
This is the key decision for Nanoco now. There are pros and cons to both. I would argue ditching the production at nearest opportunity (or just keeping it as a pre-production line) would be best for the company now. Now they have a legally proven and valued patent portfolio licencing and enforcement should the primary objective and focus.. this is a cut above the rest and therefore I fully expect them to leverage it. This biggest unknown to me because I havent got the legal docs is what the wording says i.e. how big can their assertion campaign be now Nanosys, Hansol, Dow, Sony, TCL, Samsung display supply chain and customers. I can only assume big as some people are still very bullish on this and are clearly in the know.
Others operating in our space should take note.
We therefore remain vigilant to other potential infringement activity, as well as opportunities to pro-actively deliver new licence agreements. The confirmation of the validity of our IP is already encouraging more commercial interest in Nanoco as a supplier of leading edge nano-materials.

There is just negativity, once the market realises this is a growth stock again things will change.
It happens on all boards Sammy that suddenly get attention...tbh our very few voices could be very quickly drowned out as the hype builds again... we LTHs should have set up a WhatsApp group when times were quieter have done that on other shares. Just to point out in my opinion BT has done a stellar job, he has pulled this company out of the dirt it was put on its knees by ME (just go back and read Glassdoor reviews about his leadership). BT pulled it up from near death at beginning of lockdown 6p a share.. WELL DONE BUDDY!
They have benchmark with LG and Dow to what they should have earned... anyway hence lawyers are negotiating everything we are bumping our heads about and prob way more. RNS was message to Samsung pure and simple that this is low settlement amount guys relative to what you would have to pay if this went to jury and willfulness included...I know what Samsung's approach would be grudgingly handing over the settlement form.... nod head and be thinking we'aintgivin u penny!
30 days to elicit and negotiate all this stuff eccles my chap.... I personally (going by all evidence so far) still believe this is a last min timewasting exercise by these clowns. Time will tell.
Time to pay respect to our British hero https://www.nanocotechnologies.com/blog/driving-nanocos-innovation-dna-dr-nigel-pickett/ and yes I would go to trial and burn all my cash to give chance to Nanoco and IP thieves abroad a massive ***** slap.
47 patent claims (5 patents) sorry. I havent even read them nor the 500 odd NANO still hold and continue to file wouldn't be surprised if QD-OLED is in the mix also.. remembering we have the GODFATHER of CfQDs (and QDs) on the A-team Nigel P.
Indium phosphide is the most widely deployed cadmium-free material as it is deployed in Samsung’s QLED range of TVs and the Sony Vizio P Series and Hisense U9A and NU9700 ranges. TCL also a target now. Settlement will give ammunition to go after the lot. Remember 47 ROCK SOLID patents
Very good research z-cars, well done thanks. Makes a change to all the other speculation aka guff going on about settlement amounts at the moment
Exactamundo BotBot - whatever happens remember that I love you guys and gals xxx
Would you be also surprised that Turcan being outed at immediate effect is nothing else but him being found out...?
Compass I have said it many times also. On a google digging exercise I ran about 6-7 years ago. There is plenty of Samsung cash in LO. It is a great hedge for them.
Thankyou my LordMW. Sound logic and logic I agree on. Samsung are proven timewasters, they will stretch this out for as long as it possibly takes. Are they gamblers and risk takers absolutely yes by fact they are chancers and will try their luck. The RNS was written (Again) to Samsung to do the right thing and state we are grudgingly sticking a hand out (again) here by taking lowest possible offer.. just like we have done so many times in the past to them. BT and Mintz know this going back to court will be 3x/4x the damages claim easy (see report from Edison). For all the chat of Mintz walking away, whatever!, with now 47 rock solid patents they will be replaced in a heartbeat (should this impossibility ever happen) and funders will be scrambling to get in as the carrot suddenly gets massively bigger. The fact is the market knows this, my view is the current price (and potential impatience of LO) indicates not a low over but a ever more protracted legal case. GLA
Trading halted just as I was going to seriously load up! LOAM selling indicates that settlement is near guaranteed. Tax-Loss Harvesting.. google it
