Btb not much flawed with the tech mate... otherwise CdQD dots will be produced by everyone everywhere. QD Vision, Nanosys etc. etc. couldn't get CdQD to scale up (despite $100M+ invested). Fundamental flaw with Nano was ME, he totally failed in his approach to commercialise the tech (Nanosys showed him how its done despite inferior product)... evidence is PP sales marketing killer instinct which you absolutely need in Semicon market (as Samsung shows your are dealing with people who want everything for nothing). Nice to see shares being mopped up quick and fast FOMO clearly kicking in!
I kind of agree Basscadet, but major shareholders exist which means can still reject the bid (play bluff) and continue to trial.. .. also remembering Apple, ST, Merck et al. could be dragged into it to fight of QD dominance by Samsung (Low ball offer is small change especially now their share prices are soaring). Get complicated for me here as I don't know what T&Cs are with our patent lawsuit funder, they may be in the mix in terms of clause for TO. Expect one of things now... RNS saying Significant Holdings By Apple ;) or RNS saying Reason for Rise Unknown/Known
Am I the only one...?
Feel this is just a start of world realising fundamental (intangible) value here... Samsung position is untenable. I have read Nanos patents in detail, shouldnt have had to if you were fielding a team who would you want on your side? Dr Nigel Picket (who's just been grilled by A-class legal and investor talent) or Mr Same-same San (who just bought a few cheap QD Vision patents on eBay). Irrespective, Samsung fighting against the patent will ultimately mean that Samsung will have to demonstrate how their QD dots are and were being made.... no win situation in this, especially even more so the heavy investment they have committed to in QD (Last thing they want is IP leak of their own especially as OLED-QD will have similar synthesis). As stated previously for me only question is how much not how long... Not even considering ST, Merck etc. as company is effectively in hibernation until next angel arrives. DYOR GLA
Think you'll find its the CLN amount currently at £1,477,000 due May 2021 ... ouch! At least Xmas soon, prezzies and private school fees for the Fowler family pups means ramp time GLA
Its a double edged sword. The likelihood of settlement goes up (as really evidence is stacked up against Samsung) but the payout could go down as Nano is claiming lost differential between QD and non-QD TV, my thinking is that reduces as another party is now involved regarding of CFQD films i.e. split compensation between Nano and SVV?
Blood all over the show.. expect santa to throw the naughty book at them and kick em in the gonads. If it doesn't happen Im never buying a Samsung product again. Settlement is no brainer...when and how much the only unknown for me.
Not sure if this has been noticed by all..https://lawstreetmedia.com/tech/samsung-sued-for-led-tv-patent-infringement/ makes things ever more interesting ...Daity lot! GLA
Menzies aint daft, they know this. Race to be Europe's top dog airport will start soon! WSG could well be lined up... https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/WSG/wsg-aviation-training-graded-as-outstanding-by-caa-yuyx312iz0p14vg.html this also ties with Director purchases and 'credibility' building for Joe public with Houses of Parliament.
If this hits 5p so what... most of still here are not up for the trade, for all Fowlers are worth they are always up for a bounce... Especially when UKG is now on radar https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54716289 (someone send it to Boris!)
Ironically what feels like decades ago, this was the original proposition for WSG, in Nigeria. Couldn't pull it off due to oil price being so low and lack of return of investment when you looked at implementation cost vs oil loss.. Could be different for SA. I am banking on a juicy contract from UKG when ppl like Serco and G4S are becoming ever more hard to sell to jo public. GLA
Ruuun Forest....ruuun! ... Looking forward to being only shrimp boat in town.
David we must absolutely stay positive.. but there is a fine line (which is now non-existent) whereby the Fowler family is upto the job here. Clearly the company is in its position due to total lack of ability from Peter Fowler et al., the tumbleweed has rolling and burning since he was making jokes about his 'Fat controller' since numerous years if your own staff poke jokes about him and have to teach him (the CEO!!) about media training what hope has he really got securing high profile contracts.. clearly the reason why non have ever been closed... Don't mention Lungi (never made a profit yet)... Hamish on the other hand already showing them up. Clearly this company has huge potential will that be ever realised by the Fowler group nope (none of them will ever have a clue here)... rant over GLA
In summary, Question is: What is the straw that boots him out in 2020? We all see another cash call in next RNS, IMHO it should be accompanied with notice for Peter to be replaced to finally make most of new funds received.
Not yet seen the webinar... I darent! FFFF Cash call coming or CLNUs going to be converted at rock bottom share price?Fowler needs to up the hype soon, blow dust of a pre-imminent-imminent-just 5 more mins-and counter-counter-counter signature-super-super-secret MOU with unknown new business venture have no idea about from behind the bar LMFAO (its not funny really lost a small fortune and worse years of my life here!)
Not everyone wants to invest in the coming FFFF .. Fowler Family Financial Fundraising .. Fo Sho
Don't worry Richard ... get your average down (once again) like rest of us and those tears will turn to diamonds! :)
Yes Dodger, can't see need to fund raise. But have said that before. Just feel Fowler has gone into full ramp mode.. I suspect that cash raise would be convince new customers that they are not about to go bust next anytime soon or 'finance' next MOU... Im not adding anything here am I, sorry GL
Sorry guys, hope I'm wrong, all signs now point to another fund raise. Rinse repeat, once ramped and raised, will be quite again for months. Like I say, hope am wrong but leopard and all that. LTHs will know when this will occur. GL
Fundamentally the company is in this position because of poor management of the company and focus on self interest... not to forget his huge sell off before Apple contract loss. Whichever way you look at it this situation with Samsung was brought on by his lack of ability and that of his team. GLA
Hi amer... also to point out the total absence of Samsung from RoHS Cadmium ban.. why?.. because they would have to disclose how theirs worked i.e. same-same-but same. Also, I have looked into this many a time, if you do enough digging there is a connection between Lombard Odier and the chaebol, their dominating position is being used against Nano for multiple reasons (perhaps a hedge?). If you notice that their huge holding came in at just the right time.
