Large sells reported after hours. probably delayed reporting of transactions earlier today. May expect a drop tomorrow am?

It all looks very positive at the moment but experience tells us that this share cannot go on rising meteorically for ever. At some point it will flatten out or even fall back a tad depending on key performance indicators. These are 1. market penetration overseas, where there is much scope for growth and 2. Successful expansion of the product range. Lets hope for evidence of both later this year. As I remarked recently if you visit the lowliest pub in the less affluent areas of the UK you will usually find fevertree tonic on offer. That said the bottles may gather more in the way of dust than customers, but it is an indication that FT has a very high market penetration in the UK and this has to be a brake on sales over here. Only foreign market share will really grow the company at the rate it has achieved thus far.

It paused just after the results were announced for a week or so and now seems to have resumed the upward trajectory seen prior to that. Lets hope the company has good figures to back up the rise in May or we may see a correction. It goes ex div on Thursday I think, but I cannot see that holding it back much!

So the US College retirement fund sold approx 90K shares and dropped their holding just below the 3% reporting limit. I am sure there have been bigger % changes between the 5% and 10% thresholds for fund managers, but we will not get to find out about these as there is no obligation to report.

Q1 results are also due next Thursday 27th April. That may set a direction one way or the other :-)

Same as ever. Hold, hold, hold, for the income and if you feel confident long term, then buy on the dips. It has fluctuated between £40-£50 ever since the failed TO by Pfizer. This is not a share to fret over each time it drops.

Rolls Royce has opened a facility in Bengaluru to support the 750 or so engines that power Indian military aircraft. This Defence Service Delivery Centre (SDC) will provide the Indian army and navy with fleet management, services engineering and supply chain co-ordination. It will also be the base from which Field Service Representatives can be rapidly dispatched to frontline bases to provide on-ground technical support. Over the years, as India’s military opted for predominantly Russian aircraft, Rolls-Royce’s share of the Indian market has dwindled. There was also great disappointment at RR not having a suitable product to offer for the Indian air force’s proposed upgrade of the Jaguar fighter engine. However, with increased concerns about the reliability of Russian engines that power the Sukhoi-30MKI strike aircraft and the news that RR's local partner HAL is both building and upgrading the Hawk trainer in India, Rolls-Royce is expecting to do more business in the region over the coming years.

The EU Commission has cleared Rolls-Royce's proposed acquisition of Spanish aircraft engine components maker ITP Wednesday, so long as it eliminates a conflict of interest concerning the EPI military engine consortium. The 720M Euro purchase, which was announced by RR in July 2016 should now go ahead. Elsewhere Credit Suisse maintained an "underperform" rating on RR with a target price of 6.66 GBP a potential 18.4% downside on yesterday's opening price.

If it falls back to the early 2016 lows I will simply buy another tranche to add to the last one. Long term oil is not a dead duck quite yet, whatever the doomsayers would have us believe, plus the income is good.

No I would not want all of my money in this either! Very nice to see it continue on its upward trajectory after the post-results pause, but it is not immune from the wider economy. I also went into a very remote and non-trendy pub this weekend in a rather poor area and even they sold fevertree tonic. This tells me that the UK market is probably saturated now and any further growth must come from overseas and a wider product range.

Rolls-Royce is making final preparations to start testing its new “Advance 3” engine core meant to form the basis of its future large engines. Testing will take place using a hybrid engine based on a combination of the Trent XWB-84 fan system and Trent 1000 low pressure turbine. Rolls says it designed the Advance 3 to establish a new “scaleable” architecture. Assembly of the first Advance 3 engine core started last month and “is progressing well” at the company’s Bristol facility, the company will move the core to its main base in Derby to start testing in mid-2017.

The National Anti-Corruption Commission needs more staff to analyse documents and other evidence, Pol.General Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit, president of the NACC said on Thursday. The NACC has been investigating one of largest corruption scandals in Thailand’s history. Former ministers, officials and former executives of some of the country’s biggest companies, such as Thai International Airways, PTT and PTT Exploration and Production, allegedly received kickbacks from Rolls- Royce, the UK-based jet engine manufacturer. A proposal to appoint six more staff will be submitted to the NACC’s commissioner on April 11,

No it's the "buy on the rumour but sell on the news" brigade!

Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC had its stock rating recommendation set at ‘BUY’ this morning by analysts at Citigroup. Citigroup have set a target price of 920 GBX on its stock. This indicates the analyst now believes there is a potential upside of 19.7% from the opening price of 768.5 GBX on 5th April 2017.

Behaving like a real company these days with no irrational rises on pure sentiment. Happy to hold and see what this year brings by way of progress and whether the valuation is a real platform for further growth or a bit frothy.

Well that "lower entry point" may not be today. No news that I can see that might explain the sudden tick up.
