I went MOBDRO fours years ago and ditched all pay-per view TV. Its a bit hit and miss on the PL but works a treat for all European and EFL games. That is why I don't hold any shares in SKY or BT as they have overpriced TV sport to the extent that mass evasion is inevitable and I think the PL (at least) will start its own streaming service soon, which will screw them both royally. SKY did not bother sending a prepaid box/envelope for the box by the way so I waited 6 months and then heaved it into the skip at our local recycling centre.

No it just means that the shares Schroders lent out to a shorter on the 12th have been given back on the 14th. On the 12th their position reduced by 0.122% crossing the 5% notification threshold and today they increased back over 5% by the same margin as the CFD (short) was closed.

Shaun I do sympathise with you if you bought at the top swayed by the irrational rise in the RMG price after the pensions deal. Truth is that problem is not yet resolved completely and it was never going to be a case on 'onwards and upwards" for this share as recent events have made clear. Never never put all of your savings in one or two shares as even the "safest" of these (which certainly does not include RMG) can be undone by events local or global. Diversify your risk.

I thought it was a very balanced article and quite complimentary to disgraced MP Liam Fox. Better that than the demented rantings of convict Conrad Black's best mate and a climate change denier Steyn who incidentally is a HUGE supporter of nutter Steve Bannon. Nuff said.

It depends on your definition of "great". My idea of "great" is that I can invest £X and collect the dividends for 5-10 years and then sell for at least £X or hopefully more. Short term volatility just gives trading opportunities for others or, as in my case, allows me to increase my holding at a lower price. £6.32 was clearly a ridiculous high and £2.46 may (or may not) be a tad oversold. I may not sell even if they cut the dividend (depending by how much) if I think the Co will be the better for it in the longer term.

One of my longest and core holdings this revival has been a long time coming and we have endured a good few ups and downs along the way such as the rebuffed Pfizer bid. However the divi is steady and now Pascal has finally taken the SP well above the Pfizer offer price of £55 a pop. Lets hope he is right about the profit projections for 2019. Whither GSK?

Good news if you ask me. This is the sort of poxy low margin labour-intensive public sector contract that SSE should be avoiding like the plague. They are not an outsourcing outfit (look how well they are doing-not). If they have any more contracts like this they should ditch them along with the retail energy business.

(MYL +1.6%) announces the U.S. commercial launch of Wixela Inhub (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol inhalation powder, USP), its generic version of GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK +0.4%) asthma and COPD med Advair Diskus. The company says its wholesale cost is 70% less that Glaxo's branded product and 67% less than its authorized generic.
Why not just slash the costs of Advair and see how long Mylan can stay in the game?

I will choose which charities I give money to thanks and as for regressive taxation I would much rather focus my ire on Council Tax, VAT and Tobacco Duty for which people in the bottom 10% earnings bracket pay relatively more than the rest of us. In fact they pay 3 X as much in council tax as they do on income tax and 5 X more in VAT. The TV license is trivial by comparison.
