The way to make profits on the food business is to reduce costs OR improve quality for the same price. The M&S food business is probably their only real hope of maintaining turnover rather than profit though we know that was an investment by M&S to maintain their turnover and market. Ocado gained capital to offset investment normally derived from profits. Profits have clearly taken a back seat as costs cannot be reduced too much if at all. Selling the food retail division to Amazon would make investors very rich and I suspect that prospect is the strategy of many investors.

The Oxford vaccine looks more and more like a political invention. Rolled out really quickly, grave mistake admitted when 1.5 doses given (how does that happen ?) AND under pressure then said to be more effective than 2 doses (yet they are delivering 2 doses now) then they never actually tested it on older adults and finally, a week ago they were saying it looked as though it would work on the variant and now it is being said that it doesn't. Due to its gross mismanagement (or manipulation for political purposes) they have had to agree (administratively) that it has a 62% chance of efficacy. If I tossed a coin 1000 times, heads or tails would appear more than that. Still, its given the old folk lots of hope and has lifted Boris somewhat. Would I spend £20 on a dose if I had to pay ? No wonder those who do have to pay such as other countries, are avoiding it and the $millions it would cost them, like the plague.

This phenomena is not a rare occurrence for this share. Could be the MM's manipulating the market to their own ends. Could equally be that there is a firm belief that the company is on the cusp of a massive deal, such that they would probably have to license the manufacturing. Tradingdutchman - 48 volt ?? Good try but the web site you promulgate merely refers to useful for cameras and toys and the like. Your 48 volt reference is not at all true. Capacitors discharge at an incredibly fast rate and would be useless in array as a substitute for a 48v battery

This company somehow has reached the ears of the Daily Mail for its seemingly successful Covid therapy. Not sure what has suddenly sprung it into life for this was what miraculously cured Trump. Or has he now invested in it ?

I wish I knew who makes or licences the reported improved inhalers. Their shares, if public, would be a worthwhile punt but then I suppose any inhaler manufacturer would still be a good bet. Probably Chinese.
