Zeratul - You may be confusing Directors options with staff options. Directors voluntarily pay on maturity (if they choose to exercise) whereas staff contribute monthly into a savings scheme from inception. If staff choose not to excercise, they still have the cask in savings.

Someone posted that they will not accept a triallist whose symptons have lasted more than 5 days. I wonder if that being so how many would have got better without the treatment. Also, surely the average person would wait more than 5 days till they got quite bad. Then only take a trial if the hospital refused to treat them - as a last resort. Its the hospitals that need to start testing this though I suspect they would baulk at the below 5 day rule as being somewhat pointless..
