What was this license actually for?
Maybe I'm a bit out of the information on this one but I'm assuming its nothing to do with Inishkea (Big project) or Serenity (as with i3) or anything to do with recent main land projects (as with other partners as well.
So how important is this and what was it for?
Any information would be appreciated.
Cheers
Is the AGM in London?
It would be good to be in Wales not far from the mine/office. Maybe hire a room in one of the hotels about 10-15 minutes away (Barmouth or similar).
Maybe more shareholders could attend.
Or is that a bad thing with current SP?
Maybe get some good news out first, SP up, don't do a placing, but have AGM then.
Just a thought, its Possible Good Public Relations.
Just my opinion etc
Can't not can explore, test etc with shares.
I'm not convinced on this move.
Its speculative and on the other side of the world!
We have a current Market Cap of around £5-6M so hardly Rio Tinto and the additional costs and distraction of the board with all that's supposed to be going on, I'd suggest is not needed, at least currently.
The £250,000 of shares also is another dilution. Ok at 25% up on the average but within 30 days and 15 days average prior to that!! I hope there's some good news that boosts the SP up this next couple of weeks, so a bit less shares issued.
Also it will be a dilution as these shares will be sold as you can explore, test and etc with shares, its got to be cash from a sale of the alba shares, therefore will obviously hold the SP down whilst this is going on. So about 350-400M new shares floating about holding us down even with some good extra results from the samples, blasting and aero surveys.
One of the 5 year licenses runs out this year. So what has been done over the last 41/2 years? And at what cost or time to renew this license.?
I do like the idea of diversification but if the current BOD and paid staff ? Plus work experience are so busy with the current business then why take on the extra loading now.
Maybe its an opportunity that must be taken now?
Maybe its to try and prove the asset and then sell to the bigger player next door at hopefully a great profit ?
If it was such a sure thing then the existing owner probably wouldn't sell.
Basically I'm not keen, but I'm not on the BOD, so my opinion has no sway.
Anyway DYOR and fingers crossed. Etc
Glad they're getting stuck in to the trenching. Hopefully some good commercially viable results and if so get really stuck into the waste tips 2024, whilst also progressing with the mine.
Might be worth a further dabble now the Isa allowances are renewed again. Still feels like we are lowering our break evens (averaging down) though.
We could do with several good news RNS's without a raise a few days after. Get the SP up and above the 0.017 before a maybe needed by then a placing at .0125 again. The last one at .0065 feels like giving it away.
Even though I'm likely to be in for some more if it drops below .0065 like the drift/drop after last placing.
Cheers Robbie for link and GLA etc etc
That got cut short.
UKOG (MC < £2M). So if there is any potential in HH. How much would it cost to take over HHDL and potentially UKOG etc and hopefully get shut of the Green issues with "Finch & co."
Possibly run the site with a proper "non-crook" based BOD and get a decent income/profit.
There's lots of tax losses and I'd suggest, still a need for national energy security for another few decades whilst renewables get further advanced.
Everything has a price and the impossible can be done eventually.!! Just a thought.
Cheers again Ocelot for your research.
GLA DYOR (or pick the brains of good people).
Thanks all.
Nice one Ocelot, that's good info.
2.1M still a lot outstanding that would be nice to get back however unlikely.
Unfortunately with over £20M in loans and the bulk £17M ish owed to UKOG (current MC
Hi Robbie and fellow concerned shareholders.
I've trolled again this morning through the countless RNS's regarding Horse Hill and bloody hell, there's a lot. I will have missed some info as my eye's where getting sore. It seems Alba has bought chunks of HH developments from different companies around 9-10 years ago approx for quite substantial sums of money (foresight would have said excessively expensive now), but at the time there was so much hype and what seemed to be good drilling tests etc. It also seems the CEO at the time Michael Nott was at the start of the investments and then George was appointed again around 10 years ago and seemed to carry on with the investment as part of the BOD.
I haven't found anything on the loan yet, if it actually exists but with other info I've read it seems it does.
Basically it seems there was loads of hype "Gatwick Gusher" and lots of people (Ukog shareholders past and present) and a few businesses (Alba etc) invested on the potential of mega riches that seemed to good to miss out on (FOMO) and from test results and the probable sales pitch probably from Sanderson, just sucked in millions of pounds that seem to have been frittered away and no where near the oil expected ever materialised. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on some of this) as I got bored and had to stop reading of this frustrating business opportunity that now just seems a liability.
To get full research by me, then I'd need hours, weeks and months to see if there is any potential in HH, but my Business is easier and much more profitable, so I'll do a bit on Wednesdays if I can be bothered.
I think George would clear this (Asset/Liability) as quick as possible if a reasonable no strings attached offer came in for HH shares. There's only so many hours in the day to sort businesses out and Alba's Gold is potentially much more important than the Oil.
Getb shut of HH, Let SB sort the Graphite out and we may have a simpler better business eventually.
GLA DYOR and lets hope for the best.
Hi Robbie, I believe the HH is a loan, not repayable on demand and only interest being received if at all, based on current base rate ( so poor over last 10 years). Sanderson seems to be in charge of repaying, so not much chance there.
I'd imagine now its just a matter of time and getting so many pennys in the pound from liquidators sometime.
There was supposed to be a £100k payout a while back from oil sales, but my Gut feeling is that this was conditional on GF signing over some control to a new group of probable crooks. It looks like he didn't and we didn't get the money. I think if we did, there would have been an RNS to say so.
My thoughts are if UKOG and the sanderson legacy don't keep bleeding more and more investors keeping the lights on and wages for him and it does eventually go bust, then it maybe something Alba could potentially take control over, depending on what was really needed for investment and potential income (We do need an income from somewhere, but not a money pit if that's what HH would take).
So basically HH very little value and our investment buggered. But at least if thats the case, there will be quite a lot of tax losses to offset against future Gold income. We probably have millions on reserve on losses, so probably no dividends either for many years, if Clogau starts making a good profit.
Sorry for long winded reply. I hope this helps.
If some of my thoughts/comments are wrong, please update me as this was all on memory. Cheers
Ok the news should be relativity soon.
Spudding at 1st well at the American 20th March approx plus 10 days drilling. So depending on Easter breaks or slow downs we should have some news week commencing 1st April or 8th April if needing a bit more time.
We had just under £10M cash as from RNS mid January so despite the new American ventures and the SP drop on investments ie Beacon and our own UJO previous buybacks. Then as long as Wressle is as suggested back in January still fine, then we should still have cash around £8/£9M.
Thats still a good cover of over half of todays SP in cash. So if we get news next week ish on America and we get around the 150bopd plus the quarterly news now on Wressle plus anything remotely positive on any other drills in the UK, then I'd suggest this current SP is bloody cheap.
I think we got spoiled with approx £1M per 30/40 day updates, but it was nice although the SP never seemed to appreciate this.
I think/hope there's going to be a lot of the negative people on here with the proverbial egg on face soon.
Just my opinion and DYOR GLA etc
Couldn't agree with you more Robbie. Fantastic news and so much more to follow with the aerial survey 1st part also this week hopefully.
We needed something positive and we've got it.
1st 3 samples. 37 to go, some will be nothing but others could well be better as well. Fingers 🤞
It's a good expected SP jump this morning to .095+ approx 20%. Let's hope it has a chance togo further before any placings.
I hope GF remembers the grief from last time and Let's it run for a few days.
Could really do with hitting the 0.15+ today.
GLA etc
I've no major issues Robbie and as you've suggested to people, email the company.
I've done that, so just hopefully waiting for a reply with whatever info they can share.
Sometimes comments made by me, as in this case now and the one your mentioning are just a light hearted way of hoping to nudge the BOD if reading at all, but also making general conversation on the company.
I respect your comments and positive approach to the company and wish you well, along with several other good contributors.
I think all genuine holders wish the company well and would rather be positive than many of the ill informed negatives on here, of which there are plenty.
So keep up the positives and you never know, we might one day meet up near the mine site and I'll get you and a few others a pint. ( not 2 though unless SP doubles plus!!).
GLA and fingers crossed there will be a good positive RNS soon with a plan for 2024/2025.
Ps on another note can Asllan get a spell checker working please. I'm sure you may have some good stuff to say occasionally, but your written grammar is more frustrating to read than a NRW report !! But keep smiling.
Just a quick call out to ScotAlba, have a safe and good visit to the mine, I'm assuming from your last but one post that you mean this weekend.
If you get the opportunity to see GF or MA, let's hope there's some unofficial positives to watch out for and any updates at all on the potential meeting down there that was mentioned a year or so ago for some shareholders/investors etc.
I appreciate, no meeting anytime soon as waiting for updates from Assay offices, bulk sampling to sort, Aeriel survey info and waste dumps etc, but it would be nice to have a rough schedule for 2024 onwards.
I know Scot, you won't be able to get the info realistically, I'm just wishing you well and hoping GF & co. Might read this board when they get a chance.
Best of luck and take an umbrella.
Good luck all genuine Alba shareholders.
I'd like to think silence is Golden, but not convinced.
I've no idea who ran/runs the twitter account. Obviously GF, does the little short videos, but if there's no news its not easy waffling on about waiting for news.
There's so much potential with this company, I do feel due to expenses, etc that its been cut so thin on staff that even if they had some news they just don't get a chance to plan a professional news report without taking risks with the officials etc.
So not much to say, I'm just hoping for the best like the rest of us.
GLA
its a bit of a poor do, when all we can talk about is spelling !! and meanings!!
yes we would all be happier if the rns and video messages where a lot more positive suggesting, there is a lot of gold in the lots of samples and its going to take time with the assessments.
but hey a flash in the pan is better than a kick up the **** saying there's no gold.
at least its a start, yes still slow, but we have progress, we have some gold we have a plan and we have a bit more of a wait. so onwards and onwards.
gla and keep smiling
Just a thought on the 100k and 50k purchases today.
I've not seen many reasonably chunky purchases with round numbers since the last time DB was buying back.
It does feel really desperate currently reading this board. Continuous reduction in SP, total lack of information about Wressle, quarterly information now rather than the $1m updates and a cash in bank was around £10m but not sure now with the American purchases.
West Newton seems dead due to our friends in Reabold etc, (urgent need of a defibrillator).
This all seems so much gloom and doom and total lack of ambition these days.
The cheerleader seems to have been scorned, the regular other positives seem MIA.
What the hell is actually going on with this company?
GLA, seems we need it!!
Nice one Andi, that's a good purchase against the sells, (quite a tight spread). If you don't mind me asking, who was your broker to get such a good price for your buy?
I definitely agree Scotalba,
This is the way to go, but I'd also add that a website should be up and running with a nice selective range of the first jewellery created by Vivian and the coins in several denominations including bars.
Ideally and probably essential for perceived value a limited edition number and year.
Royal mint do wonders for getting extra value on plain regular gold.
This rare Welsh Royalty Gold has a great "Unique Selling Point" and as you suggest maybe the first 10 are auctioned and that would create a guide price for the next (90/100) for 2024.
Of course I'm getting ahead of myself but I really hope there is enough to get a good start as once the newness wares off, the raw gold is just that, so jewellery and collectors limited editions are the way to go to keep the perceived value higher.
We need a few hundred thousand pounds minimum to hopefully towards a few million pounds of sales at really good margins, this do we are able to prospect and develop the future possible mines etc.
Dilution will happen, but hopefully just like "Helium 1" at a much higher price than todays.
I think we would all like a "10 bagger" in around a week or so from first results.
Good vibes on Alba and I'm sure a few long termers also have the fever.
GLA DYOR etc
Good to get regular updates on twitter, keeps positive momentum going and hopefully the genuine shareholders reasonably happy.
Not sure about Rick as his focus just seems full of negativity as he is with the rest of his posts.
Any old miners will be pensioners by now and anybody in the village would I presume be grateful for the interest and potentially hoping for jobs and increases in their business's etc from anything positive created from the mine and the staff/contractors etc.
If there are pensioners there who worked in the mine some 50 years ago, I'd buy them a pint or two as I bet their stories could well be fascinating.
Good luck all Genuine Shareholders and bye bye sooner rather than later the miserable wingers out there.
