Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
Wishful thinking. If bills are frozen people will still go on holiday. If inflation increases generally at 10%+ and pay rises at 5%, people will be scaling back or foregoing holidays. Sadly I think TUI are in for a shocking year next year and will do well to stay in profit/survive
Tim Martin is the turkey that voted for Christmas. He will be moaning until the end about Brexit but he was one of the main supporters who influenced others.
I have no idea why the new investors would put so much money into this dog of a company, even at a discounted price. What are they seeing other than terminal decline?
Decided to sell today after holding for some time having purchased at 52p. Given the cost of living crisis, I can see a lot of people being forced to sell their second cars and driving down the inflated prices. Sales of EV cars will also fall considerably as before long charging them will be more expensive than diesel/unleaded cars. Will look to buy back in 12 months at around 52p level
According to a report today 70% of pubs are at risk of failure this winter. That news should have sent the shareprice up as a lot of competitor disappear but no another fall. More evidence that people are seeing the end is in sight for this company. I would hate to see them go but unfortunately you cannot considerably increase your cost base in a discount led operation and still make money
If/when Spoonies goes bust where does everyone think that their customers will go to. We should be looking ahead and investing in the companies that when benefit when the inevitable happens. Same with the airlines (a big one is likely to collapse) and retail. There will be winners and losers, as always, in all of this carnage.
Will also be interesting to see what Tim Martin says when it happens.
I am personally investing in Loungers as a potential winner from what is going on
I cannot believe that anyone would buy shares even at 3p. How will this company not go into administration?
The only way is down from this point
Although there are more planes flying. No profits are being made due to price of fuel and €400 compensation scheme per person when a plane is late
Why would you takeover a company that sells products in a seriously contracting market. Go to any pub and see how many people are drinking their products. Gin and tonic was so 2020/2021, people have moved on to other alcoholic drinks
Love all the comments about what a great buy this is and how great the company is. The share price is dependent on profits. Where is the growth going to come from when all your costs are increasing by 10%+ in a year? The only answer is to put up your prices
The problem seems to be where does the profit come from when so many planes are delayed for a variety of reasons. If a plane is delayed by 3 hrs, the airline has to pay €400 each person compensation plus food, data and possibly hotel payments. Just one plane a day wipes out thousands in profits.
I am going for £1:10 before walk back down to 75p. How many more times will this happen before people wake up to the con?
Next announce that sales are up more than expected and share price rises. M&S have to come up with a positive statement but cannot think of anything good to say on sales. They instead put out a story about not selling disposable BBQs. Says it all
Does anyone know if Tim Martin still supports Brexit? It’s great to stick to your principles even though it will ultimately make you go bankrupt
You are a bit quite today? I also notice that you have withdrawn your vile comment from yesterday?
I have also noticed that hotels that you could have booked for £50 a night a year ago are now £75/£80. Although they have the same cost pressure as everyone else, I think that their occupancy and margins will be significantly up this year. With the nightmare experiences of going abroad and yet another great summer in the Uk with the weather, I am sure that more people will be using UK holidays next year. At some point this will be reflected in the share price
Looks like we are back on the up section of the roller coaster. The question this time is will we reach £1 or £1.20 before I have to sell again and sit it out for a few weeks before buying back in? I love playing this game
I think Angle will have to show that there is demand for its products before anyone considers a bid. They need to get a big order and soon
Well done ITV for more quality TV . 1500 complaints about 1 show, takes some doing. Maybe programmes about dancing dogs is the way afford after all?
