Itv need to ditch (over time) Simon Cowell, Ant and Dec it’s the only way they will come up with something new. Under no circumstances should any of their content involve dancing dogs. Less than 1% of the population see dancing dogs as a form of entertainment.
Will they do any of the above, probably not
Decided to sell at a massive loss today as I cannot see an end to the share price decline. Should have sold earlier but was hoping for a bounce that did not happen. Although long term it will probably come right, I can see a much larger drop coming with the constant economic bad news and the cost of living crises reducing disposable income. The World Cup will not give the usual boost as it is in the winter and sadly covid will probably be a problem again from October. The risks outweigh the rewards currently and so going with the gut feeling I had in March (see comment below) and getting out, albeit I was very slow on finally pressing sell
They issue a RNS to stop the panic selling and only add to it! Jokers! I now accept that I will lose all my money in this company which is sad but I just hope someone buys the company and keeps the AML brand alive. In the right hands it will be successful. With current management the company stands no chance of survival
The dopey directors have bought shares and lost 5% in a day. Says it all about how good they are. If only they would spend more of their time coming up with ideas about more programmes involving dancing dogs, they could have crashed the share price further down to 50p before buying.
Soon the value of the company will be lower than the value of the cars in production. I am struggling to think of a more catastrophic British manufacturing company. Someone will eventually get hold of this company on the cheap either by making a bid or waiting to buy it from the inevitable administration
Thanks for everyone’s advice. Was hoping to buy at 85p but had to pay 88p. As there seemed to be a change of direction this afternoon, took the plunge again. Not 100% confident but hopefully a bounce back to £1+ tomorrow/Thursday.
I have previously said that I would buy back in at 75p but I am now wondering if I should get back in at 85p. Any views? Although I have called it correctly by waiting for 75p in the past, I am not convinced that it will fall that low again before the next bounce. Any views would be appreciated.
Although I live the volatility and prospect of making money again, it is difficult to call the bottom.
I cannot wait to be back in the 80s - a great decade but keep hearing that we are going back to the 70s
Could not believe that the share price is up over 6% today. I thought that they must have announced something major like a talent show hosted by Ant and Dec over 7 nights only featuring dancing dogs. Sadly the excitement was from ITV being demoted from the FTSE 100. I am guessing that people are speculating that a new CEO will be required to stop the rot?
I could not find the bit about all the managers taking a 50% pay cut this year to reflect their spectacular own goal. Everyone is looking for their first holiday in 3 years and Easyjet cannot meet demand due to lack of planning. A joke of a company
Just play nicely like everyone else who knows how to make money from this company. Buy the shares at 75p and sell at £1.25. There is no easier way to make money currently. Follow this simple rule and be quids in
People are happy that ITV are appealing to pensioners and prisoners? How far have we fallen in this digital age? Why are ITV not more relevant? Please just sell the business to Apple who would love to have the iTV branding. They can have my shares for 80p which is my break even price. The share price is only going one way otherwise. Ant and Dec may have to get proper jobs at Butlins and Sim Cowell can retire with his millions. Stop the rot!
The letter gives me no confidence whatsoever. I would not book a holiday with them ever again. To cancel your holiday at short notice and expect you to book with them again is just naïve. There are plenty of other companies out there
Is my last post still so funny?
How long do we think that it will take this time to get to 75p?
I have said on many occasions that you buy at 75p and sell at £1.25. The price of this share will move up and down to these levels from now until a major order is made. Just look at the history. It’s a great way to make money out of a volatile share price
I notice that it is a much slower walk down to 75p this time. I have reset my buy back price to 85p as the dips are smaller each time. Expect that I will get my buy in price by mid-june
Have you not all realised that we go weeks without any news to allow the share price to drop back to 75-80p before an upbeat statement taking it back to£1.10-£1.20. Great way to make money, frustrating for long term holders. I last sold at £1.18 and will be back in at 80p, I would suggest you all do the same
Looks like I will be buying back in my re-entry price much quicker this time. What a great share to make money from the swing in price
Our only hope is a bid for the company as the current management do not have a clue. Every now and again they come up with great dramas that are as good as anything on Netflix but their refusal to move on from Britains got Talent and Saturday night takeaway will finish them. How can people watch the same old crap every Saturday evening? We cannot afford to lose the weekend prime time viewing slot
