Does anyone know if AN is Frank Spencer?
I think that the results next week will show that revenue from advertising will be good for the middle and premium brands but terrible for the cheap/discount brands. It will show that on the rare occasions when ITV produce quality programmes that companies are prepared to invest in adverts. When they produce their cheap dross programmes, filling advertising slots is difficult at a good margin. This will show that they have to invest in quality dramas and move away from so much cheap poor quality programmes
I will be looking out for news on more dancing dog competitions, judged by Simon Cowell with Ant and Dec as presenters because you know that is the sort of original content that ITV normally come up with. Possibly a subscription only add on?
Looking forward to them announcing
At last everyone is waking up to the potential of this company. It appeals to “middle England” customers who are still going out but look for good quality reasonably priced food/drink in nice buildings. Their customers are not under the same financial pressures as customers of Spoonies foe example
It is a bit like betting on red or black. Put all your money in and watch it double or half depending on macro factors eg price of oil, wars and inflation. As it turns out I think you could double your money in 5 years but be prepared to lose half in 12 months
He is so clever that he bought 125000 of h shares at 80p himself. All he needed to do was another one of his “my first PowerPoint” presentations and he could have picked them up for 60p
I have taken abuse over the last few months by saying the share price would drop to 75p. I never thought that it would go lower than 75p. I am still invested but have taken profits over the last 3 years but I am now seriously concerned with all the negative comments below and the way that the company is being run. How much lower do people realistically think that this will go?
I do not hate private investors, I hate the way share prices are manipulated to the benefit of directors of companies. They release bad news, crash the share price and then grant themselves options. I still try and play the game and as you are a holder of Angle and Fevertree, you will know that there is money to be made and I have made on both. Fevertree looks like a good price to me but I have not yet bought back in. I jumped the gun and bought back in Angle at £1.02 but as I had previously sold at £1.28 I am still on balance happy. I always thought 75p to 80p would be the bottom but suddenly not so sure following the cash raise. I wish you well in trying to make money on both but it is just like betting on horses, sometimes you will, sometimes you lose. You just hope that the wins more the offset the losses
The new investors must be really pleased to see that the “cheap” shares that they bought on Friday are even cheaper on the market today. Not sure how they will do the next cash raising based on last weeks shambles?
Ending the association with Beckham can only be a good thing. Who thought that would work - he is about as brand damaging as you can get
It would be a shame if he has to go off the back of his recent run but if he continues with the own goals, there will not be a company left to run. He should put in a MD to do the corporate PR stuff and concentrate on the behind the scenes stuff. Shame as this share did look really promising after approval
Blame the price of glass for profit decline. Cannot possible give the real reason - the G&T boom was part of getting through lockdown when drinking at home, we are not doing that anymore
We’ll surprise, surprise here we are again at 80p. The shareprice (as I predicted) has been walked down to 80p and everyone starts buying again. The directors no doubt will have filled their boots with purchases or share options and then off we go again up to £1.20. Not sure how many more times they can get away with this but I should not complain as I have made money from this in the past. My concern now is that everyone knows the game and confidence will be lost unless the share price can be supported by good news at some point. Exciting share to own but I will be monitoring carefully in next few weeks for any substance behind this company
Just another way of giving more money to the directors of the company. Will make no difference to small shareholders who do not count
Interesting to see Tim Martin blaming everyone and everything but not looking at what was obvious yesterday. Loungers announced fantastic results yesterday. I think that people are still going out but less often and when they do they are trading up slightly to better environments, better food and it is not all about just getting the cheapest pint
Another almost 5% off in a day. Where is the plan to stop the rot? No more shows with dancing dogs. Less Ant and Dec, much less Simon Cowell
Wow, no ramping up of the shareprice for almost a week. Has everyone given up and sold their shares in the realisation that the shareprice has now peaked?
I have heard that there was an emergency board meeting this morning to discuss the dire shareprice
One director suggested another Ant and Dec Saturday night show
Another director thought a 2 week Simon Cowell show about him was required
A further director demanded more dancing dogs on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday with an extended behind the scenes show on Saturday night.
After discussing for 3.5 minutes and deciding all were excellent ideas they then spent the next hour talking about share based bonus schemes and bonuses linked to getting the share price to stay above the 60p level for the next 3 weeks
I have heard that the new CEO knows nothing about running an airline or how to make any money. I am really excited with this considerable improvement on the previous one
