The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Everyone is moaning about how the directors are running this company. By not releasing their product for sale and by granting themselves massive share options, they are reducing the share price so that they can take the company private at 10-15p a share. Great for them, not so good for the millions of shareholders who have been legally mugged.
Refuse to commercialise, reduce the share price, grant yourself options at the lower price in case there is a hostile takeover, if not reduce to 10p, take private yourself at 15p and then commercialise. Small shareholders, thanks for donating us your hard earned cash.
We were all potentially conned some were lucky to sell out last year
Down we go again. I have never in my 35+ years of trading ever seen a shareprice that is being manipulated for such a long time. Someone , somewhere is making a lot of money from this
I think she should go. She is running ITV down until she retires. We need a new fresh younger approach, sorry.
Given the history on this company why would anyone buy at the current price of 28.5p when chances are they will have to do another fund raising at say 20p within 12 months? Surely it makes sense to raise funds now, give some certainty that the company will still exist in 24 months time and give people confidence to buy in again?
By Friday these could be at 20p or 40p as the price is so erratic. Personally I think it will be closer to 20p than 40p
New CEOs always get all the bad news out, depress the share price, grant themselves share options and then report good news and make a fortune. It’s just a game for the richest in society to play
Our slowly sinking ship seems to have another hole in it.
Nothing suspicious about that at all?
Just wondering how many of people on this board would be prepared to jump back in at 10p? I have made loads and lost slightly less recently and wondering if it is worth one more throw of the dice?
Could we see £1.50 by the end of the week
I think that the share price will slide to 10-15p and someone will make a bid at 25p to get the technology. AN will still make millions, small shareholders as he said did not really matter anyway
More likely to see 4p than 40p!
Some of the messages posted today are hilarious. People talking about the share price doubling when it has fallen by 50% in a week. Others suggesting that the directors, who know the game is over, investing their own cash in the business. Some believe that more cash can be raised?
This company was a great short term gamble when all the gullibles were pumping money in but you need to know when to jump out with a parachute as there are not enough to go around. Is there a chance that the gullibles will invest again and create another opportunity for a short term punt?
Loving the optimism on this board. It’s game over. Good idea but no commercial ability to translate that into an income stream. Only hope is for someone to make a bid.
I am guessing that 3% increase today reflects news creeping out about how good Christmas trading was? When figures are released next week, hopefully £1.40-£1.50 shareprice?
I can still smell a rat
So in a year of big announcements the share price is down 58%. Anyone else smelling a rat yet?
Just a little bit more manipulation of the share price to make the insiders a few quid for Christmas. Next year it will become clear exactly what this company is - a good idea but a product that cannot be commercialised
Having been out of M&S for some time, decided to have a small punt today. The shops as everyone has pointed out are exceptionally busy and I think that the tv program yesterday will only help sales. Their core customers are not as affected as other retailers by the cost of living crisis and their product range (particularly food) is now right and online is working. I am calling the bottom. May take 6 months but will exit at £1.75+, hopefully by end of 2023. Sometimes you just have to take a punt and sit back and wait for some good news
