I'm generally happy to share my investment rationale for a buy in a value stock, but then selling at a point in time what you've purchased is a personal decision and that depends on your risk attitude, economic outlook, capital protection, etc. If someone's been bitten previous, potentially many times, then I can understand why there'd be nervousness to hold. I've personally left a lot out on the table by selling too early. I still remember buying 4k shares of Lattice Semiconductor for circa $3.5, sold out for circa $3.80 or so a few months later, and today its a 90 bucks share - I still wonder what could've been. And I've had many such bad sell calls on Nasdaq tech shares from about 10 years ago. OK, it took many years to explode to the upside, and I'm not suggesting CPI will jump 30 times from the 20p low anytime soon, but your time horizon plays big part in that call.
Maybe sell a small % of your holding and hold on to the rest - that way you won't feel miserable if CPI falls a bit for whatever reason. GL with whatever you decide!!
