The market limit is 100,000 shares at the spread price.The .10p price was for a sale of 1.7m shares and the market makers were only prepared to pay that price for that type of volume.Likewise if someone was buying 1.7m shares they would probably quote a price in excess of the ask price because it is outside the limits set.Therefore the share price has not moved for the day.Hope that clarifies the question

Oasis have issued an RNS to the effect that an offer significantly in excess of their close price of 24.25p has been made.Yet the range stands currently at 27-30p.Room here for a bit of speculation particularly when the word "significantly"appears

The price you get is what Titan are offering and the only way is up.The other major Outdoor contractors must counter the current derisory offer.Viacom are looking weak to retain their London Underground contract and need to retain a presence in Uk and strengthen their Irish operation having lost the Irish Transport contract.The current Titan offer prices Maiden at £10m plus 39m in debt.Viacom can outbid,lose the inefficient Maiden management and make inroads into profit straight away.

Press reports mention all the main and likely candidates to acquire Maiden.However the dark horse in the chasing group will turn out to be Titan Outdoor a US company who have been close to Maiden for the past two years and are keen to return to the UK market where they once had major presence under the TDI label.Likewise they have now a 25% presence in the Irish market having taken CIE, the national transport provider from the sleeping incumbents Viacom

Regardless of the share price Maiden has still achieved critical mass in the UK and Irish markets which has a value over and above their current share price standing.My guess is that the eventual sell range will be close to £3,as the major contractors compete to both knock competitors out of the race and likewise stop a foreign company entering the markets.

I do not understand your messages onTuesday.Your initial message on Monday was factual in as much as they sacrificed margins,but they have been reckless in continuing this practice.One would have thought that once spit twice shy,but not in their case.Their CEO is a smug individual,who will suffer like all other sharholders for his incompetent management,and quite frankly he is the master of his own demise

How can the CEO of Maiden have watched the company turn from a £10m profit five years ago to a minimum £5m loss for 2005 and watch the share price drop to one sixth during the period without doing anything about it,other than overseeing and masterminding incompetent mismanagement?
