The company is a lame duck.The only way this company can keep going is through investment from Murtaghs.If they do not get the required 90% the company goes to the wall.There are debts of nearly 40m and the bad management team responsible have been gotten rid of.The investors retain a 10% holding in the newco.

The document can be had from the offices of Smart Telecom.I would suggest you go to their web site and perhaps it is on that,or alternatively if you request a copy from them via the web.They currently carry debt of 40m which is guaranteed by Brendan Murtagh.They are currently selling on assets and only when they are sold will we have an idea as to the value of our holdings.At their current value we have little option but to hold out I would guess and hope that bidding war occurs,but I would not be holding my breath

Smart is small fry in the Irish market.Their business has been seriously dented by the switch off and many of the phone subscribers have reverted back to Eircom.Similarly their broadband was sold as part of a phone user/broadband package.This company was going to the wall up to two weeks ago until Brendan Murtagh came to its rescue YET again,pumping in much needed funds and guaranteeing its debts.In return for this investment he has now a 90% interest,and us shareholders are left with 10% which is not bad in the overall scheme of things.I for my part have taken a hammering on this particular share from entry points at 18p,13p and laterly at 3.75p.The asset sale will I fear be a salvage job,and remember they still have the possibility of the 3G licence which they are persueing through the courts.Hope springs eternity!

No news has always been good news.Sp dropping but on small volumes.They produced good results and it should only be a matter of time before the rise starts again.My only worry here is the slowness in bringing a potential purchaser to the alter.(Maybe just a ploy playing one of the other)

My maths indicate that they are flogging shares at nine tenths of a US cent,which makes the revised sp look expensive.Cannot see any buying opportunity here

Your comments add a Ray of hope for this share.However we all know we are just Codding ourselves,this one will swim with all the other bad fishes in time

Had a buy order in myself at 2.85p for the whole day but it never went back to that level after yesterdays initial drop.Saved myself £2000 and still not bought in even at these levels.Like everything it is a gamble as to what price you get in at.2.85p seems a good price yesterday and 2.4p today is better,but just when will the sp level off and go north.The share graph indicates sharp rises after each fall so maybe today....or maybe not!

I do not expect the current sp to be around later today.This share has a habit of taking a giant leap forward in the afternoons.Even without a bid the sp should be close to £1 taking into account the profits generated in the current year and the measures taken in China to cut costs coupled with possible relaxing of regulations.My view is that any bid(and they are in discussions with SEVERAL interested parties)should double the current level to around the £1.50 level and then its up to the others bidders to fight amongst themselves on the upward climb

There have been more trades in the first hour than full day trades over the past number of days.Mostly buys as well which is encouraging.My guess is that there is going to be an imminent announcement

Sold my holding on Tuesday,as they appear to be going nowhere fast.I reinvested the proceeds and more into OXS which is a more volitile stock but my guess is that I will profit greatly. You will not e that AKI rns last week provoked a strong upward spike,only to retreat after a few trades.My guess is that when positive news happens the same thing will happen again.My problem is I did not have the time to wait.Best of luck however with your AKI investment.I have no doubt you will make a sizeable return in the long term.I will consider reinvesting when the dust settles on my other holdings

Anyone out there got words of wisdom on this one? Six weeks since announcement of potential buyer and nothing since to indicate that a firm offer has been received or that the potential suitor has walked away(either of which has got to be advised anyway)

Sold this morning.Those were my 19,000 shares shown as delayed trade.Took a £950 hit(not including costs of £120),as I needed to move on to a more active and hopefully more productive share.Have doubled up on OXS at 22p,coupled with a previous purchase of 20,000 at 24.5p to average at 23.25p and awaiting a surge
