I thought a successful takeover at 60p plus directors keeping their jobs would do it..The enterprise value of the bid would be around £1.1 billion..However the SP is very reluctant to move significantly upwards and l feel the bid could be as low as 40p..If discussions were for higher,all the insiders would have dragged the SP to near proposed bid..

Some wag put out on X that a deal had been agreed at 90p and the shares accelerated to nearly 38p before people realised it was fake and sold the shares down again..Storm in a teacup

WPP today destroyed what momentum S4 had from yesterday..

At first glance the figures sound good..However look more closely,and you see underlying revenue is down,and underlying profits also down from previous year..The sell off this morning is probably justified..

Even at today's price it is still a little expensive at PE16 for a slowing company..300/310p is a good starting point for investors..

Everything is down in today's statement,except debt which is running at a £1m per day...Volume sales downgraded from 20%+ to less than 5%...Stroll will never sell at any price, so best take the company private,away from FTSE spotlight..Large shareholders can retain their stakes,but retail investors shafted

It will be an agreed bid at no more than 60p,along with debt,and cash outflows this year making a total bid of £1.1 billion.. Management will agree because they are due to retain their jobs..There will be no offer,and then rejection and then another higher bid as management is talking directly to Sidera.So SP will move up sharply only on day of announcement

People waiting to see how much Sidera will offer for Wood will be sorely disappointed...In this case the takeaway will be agreed on same day as offer price disclosed...60p with debts and cash outflows will be enough...it amounts to £1.2 billion in total with management keeping their jobs

Judging by the SP lack of impetus today a takeover of around 60p should do it...At that price,with the giant debts and this year cash outflow of up to £200m,Sidera will be paying in total just over £1 billion for the company..As management are to keep their jobs ,it will be accepted.

Hosai..When a share price drops dramatically,there is no much chance of a takeover,as it's highly opportunistic and the board would reject it out of hand,as undervaluing the company..Only when a company is highly financially distressed,then it might succeed,but Wood Group is nowhere near that point.

106m shares traded at 3pm..Huge total which can only mean shorters still selling down borrowed shares..

Sold today 17/2/25 with a £4,879 Loss,after holding for nearly 3 years..Goodbye and good riddance to this lousy stock
