Marston is capitalised at £270m,and has debts of £881...This is why the SP is languishing at these prices, regardless of actual trading... Financing that level of debt is considerable...At these levels Marston is valued the same a wetherspoons (which has much better balance sheet and lower debts) That is why the SP drifts back down to the mid 30p range

Always when this company provides an update,it usually is good trading and profits,but with a caveat for future trading to put a downer on any momentum...

American GDP has contracted and so S4 will be adversely affected,yet on the announcement the SP rose 0.60p....just daft

Last two days has seen the SP push higher,when you think it might drop more as a long suspension might occur...This can only mean that insiders know that the SP dropped more than the probable adjusted bid price...At present it suggests a lower bid of 20p is being offered to wood plc.

MrEx... Wood Group signed a 3 year contract with a mid east company 9 days ago,for offshore maintenance.

It's now very clear Sidera will be offering much less than the 35p...Wood Group is desperate for cash flow and will probably accept 8/10p....Notice no other bidders stepping forward even at 18p,such is Wood Group in a mess.

Ftse250 up 330 points and THG gets a bid,yet the SP is hovering down from yesterday..Just tragic

Over the 4 day break,might be the time another possible suited might carefully examine Wood Group as a takeover option...However even at 4p no bidders for Petrofac plc,an identical business..

Yesterday l would have thought odds on 35p at 65%...Today l would reduce the odds to 50%...I suspect Sidera are keeping their options on price, quite open,and will use any reference by auditors of greater irregularities than first thought to lower their bid to around 20p..l can't see auditors finishing such a complex procedure before summer so further extension after this one..This is why investors in the main are not opening new positions.

Hmmm... Previous buyers holding on,but no new wave of buyers.. Seems new investors are reluctant to take a position as the detailed audit and balance sheet adjustments are going to take a long time,longer than probable firm offer..This means people unable to trade shares for some time ( maybe a few months) due to suspension.

Tomorrow will see a further extension,with Wood saying due diligence has not yet been completed...The extension will run past the suspension date,trapping investors for several months while audit carries out detailed remedial work on accounts..Sidera will then have plenty of time to review their buying price..

I think SP rising is that trading update is due this month

Tullow CEO stated that after one year the company will still have a huge £1 billion debt pile to pay interest on,plus the assets sold means a reduced oil output for year ending 26 (which in 25 was a reduction from 24) The company is going nowhere fast and probably in a takeover situation is worth around 3p per share.

It is strange that Monday an RNS stated Sidera have offered 35p for Wood Group..Yet since then,insiders have been selling down their holdings like crazy..It's unlikely that 4 days later from RNS, Sidera would owner their bid..It can only !ean Sidera withdrawing their bid altogether..l hope l am wrong..

The board are retaining their jobs and keeping all bonuses..This is why the BofD are happy to recommend such a low ball offer as they lose nothing...Looks like many investors are fed up and selling today in spite of offer being 35p as it will be a long wait before takeover is completed and cash sent to their banks.
