The clinicians in manchester agree with you conclusion Mr Anthony, they have stated as such. They want a 4 hour turned around which is unachievable when using lab tests hence their enthusiasm for GDR's POC test kit.

I feel that GDR buying GDR shares is a casino. Timing is crucial regarding both buying and selling shares, which means for the ones who got it right, it's pure luck not skill imo.

I think Mr Lionel posted an article about a law suit in hawaii against a health care company that did not test for the gene and the poor chap died prematurely of a second stroke. It suggests the american market really needs the POC stroke gene kit. China too. In fact, I'd estimate that given the choice, 99.9% of middle class stroke sufferers would gladly pay hundred quid to ensure they have the right medicine to prevent a second stroke in the crucial first 2 days. But ignorance is bliss and they will be completely unaware that the stroke drug does not work for people with specific genes.

If all the important genetic markers tests for allergies to certain medicines (AIHL also affects old people , not just babies) were packaged together, offered as a full suite of test results at any time (ie BEFORE anyone gets ill) and the result is then added to their medical record, as a sort of genetic once in a lifetime MOT, then I'm sure people would take it up. If it was offered for just 100 quid. One blood sample and say 50 different market tests in the suite for 100 quid, were time is NOT critical. That would be true preventative medicine. I recall reading that NHS thought that if everyone took statins from the age of 45, it would not only prevent an enormous number of heart disease and strokes but it would save the NHS billions in the long term.

Mr bamy, correct. As time passes and the sp slingers near his buy in price the more desperate he becomes because he's a short term trader who did expect to be still holding GDR weeks later. He expected to take his 20% profit approximately two weeks ago. Its so sad to see. GDR does this to people though. It has form in teaching weak traders a lesson, sometimes a very expensive lesson.

Perhaps but none of us are clinicians in the NHS and no other trusts except manchester have the PoC kit, so currently no options for clinicians outside manchester.

I think everyone would like confirm action from people who know whether or not this is true. For example, two weeks ago someone posted a link to the minutes of meeting with MPs about how they can overrule NICE. Which i think this why nice gave three options with the term availability thrown in. It gives the clinicians options. But if the trust dont buy the poc kit in the first place, there are no options. It doesn't appear to be back and White but i have no example of the outcomes of a similar recommendation to go on. Rampers state common sense, others like you state the rules. We just dont know.

Agree but its complicated. NICE have done this yes but the clinicians in Manchester have also assessed their own use of POC and its results, as stated in what is in effect a sales pitch for GDR where they accound for the millions the POC will save and how they want a 4 hours turnaround of patients regarding POC.

And that's the crux of any bet on GDR.. NICE says one thing (Lab first, GDR second) , yet the front line clinicians in manchester are pushing on with GDR POC kits and want quick results for their patients that only POC kits can deliver.

Lab testing does not meet the requirements of manchester who are following the proverb " penny wise, pound foolish" by pushing on with GDR POC kit instead of lab testing.

I believe the clinicians and nurses will have become accustomed to the benefits and ease of POC kit testing after 1 or 2 months. Assuming no problems eg software errors or false positives then the mindset will have changed and health care workers and patients would see the benefit of this new point of care dawn (POC tailored care is a goal of 21st century medicine aimed at improving health care and saving $$$ ) . Assuming succesful use of POC kit, health care workers would never want to return to waiting for laboratory results.

Preventative medicine and techonology will save health care systems around the world millions. And rightly so. This is why GDR has not already gone bust, it is at the fore front of a new health care techonological dawn. But fo course , it can still fail to get sales if they don't market this correctly.

GDR should be giving the kits away, for a trial period of 6 months at least.

I'm interested in SP at COB on friday. Its actually a very good sign if the SP does not trickle south from here imo.
