With the best will in the world, the S4 era Sorrell is very different and I agree with redwineday, far better for him to keep his head down. Industry events are fine, it's the articles about politics and geo/macro stuff that comes across as very grandiose. Plenty of columnists already experts at that stuff.

I would ignore what third parties say and focus on company's figures today instead.

That £190m rev H1 estimate was proven to be wrong for example, best to assume rest also inaccurate, or at best outdated. Company guidance of net revenue margin for full year at 66bps, which allows us to crudely calculate full year rev of ~£343m, assuming £51bn AUM constant over that time. If anything company are suggesting slight H2 rev weighting, so I can't see that £30m rev drop transpiring. Similarly if profit was going to drop that much in H2 company would have flagged it.

Last year's release lukewarm reviews turned out be a leading indicator sales would be lower than the company's guidance.

It's not possible to state this won't affect anything. At best this increases uncertainty.

Only time will really tell for sure now. Should next hear from them in September, particularly key will be whether their projections remain intact, for both FY25 overall revenue and their forecast for return to profitability.

To what extent market has accounted for this is what matters here. Last year from F1M23 release to subsequent year low 5 months later, the stock lost 80%+ of its value, albeit then recovering a bit once progress with cost cutting program clearer.
