Axel isn't a him mate, it's a big conglomerate. They've supported board by voting with them when it was proposed in EGM chair be ousted last year. They've been passive throughout, only conclusion we can draw is they're too big to give a sh*t.

Lecram on the other hand have much smaller stake but have been very vocal slating the strategy and now proven right. If ever there was a time for them to make another move it's now.

As ever with purp they made a mess of it and RNSs were contradictory, making an arbitrary distinction between buying share capital vs buying assets. It doesn't make sense to have one without the other. Market doesn't know what to make of it, board have been played and now needs ousting, imo.

Make your mind up sain, you've posted many times they had enough cash to last until October. That was a bit optimistic unfortunately. Much more realistic is my circa 2 months estimate given £9.1m as at 30/04 and cash burn circa 900k p/w.

Strike themselves don't have much money at all but it's owned by Charles Dunstone who has been absolutely pouring cash into it, balance sheet shows he's stumped up £20 million+ in last year alone. Maybe his lowball here is last of the big spenders.

Non-trade liabilities pretty low here so they could feasibly shut the doors and call in administrators to punt off assets and get more than a lowball price lower than today's price implied by their rns. Hard to see big shareholders approving such a deal.

Btw no use of word materially today in today's RNS relating to share price, that's been incorrectly inserted to thread title.

One thing is clear this CEO couldn't run a bath let alone a plc. Her own personal bankruptcy experience may be handy though.

True the RNSs are contradictory it's a mess. Also this board have to be the worst negotiators ever. Why bother selling below current share price, might as well shut the doors.

Only possible angle I can see here is they're doing it to put feelers out to anyone else who will now be aware they're willing to take a bath on price. Shareholders have to approve though and who in their right mind would choose less money.

It's too late to turn this around with things as they are, rns is clear on that, sure anyone buying now is aware of that. The punt is more of a binary one of does this get acquired. Potentially more likely now equity priced lower than cash.

Then under a buyout the brand could be refreshed, campaigns to reassure customers about new ownership etc. In the immediate term though you're correct their bookings will be taking an absolute beating.
