Reading between the lines Cave likely realised Duffin was a wrongun only after he was hired. Just look at the AGM votes last year and particularly the block of votes against Duffin's re-appointment.

In a nutshell if it gets delisted there's still a payout, it's a bit different to most windups as it's still solvent with a few hundred k in bank. Worth reading the docs but this cynical board estimates payout of 0.2p per share in that scenrio. If vote doesn't go ahead like last time when they didn't have the support, that's when it gets more interesting, it would stay listed and roll on as a cash shell.

Brown totally made out like a bandit with those payouts and Braveheart dividend funded by his sale here, but if it's any consolation it's been pretty much downhill for him since then.
