RE: TGR6 Apr 2022 15:34
Thanks for re-sharing dryland.
The article outlines TGR's mid-term aims:
84,000tpa in Madagascar by 2024. - basket price of say $850-1,100/MT (larger flake)
Already permitted for 150,000tpa in Mozambique - plans to follow acquisition completion and we'll likely be informed about plans for this along with anode-side developments imo as the flake type in Mozambique was already qualified with a previous processor which worked with Battery Minerals. - basket price of say $600-900/MT (smaller flake)
Downstream capacity 35,000tpa 2024 including Patalganga and the larger downstream modules/projects at Odisha - TGR needs to find a name for these large downstream modules/projects. - basket price of say $2,500-3,800/MT (specialist products e.g. the expandable graphite products being sold for $3,3,00/MT already in the UK through the exclusivity agreement signed in February, and future spherical graphite production which is already being priced at $3,800/MT in international markets).
Article also mentions the primary goal idea of 400-500,000tpa by 2030 and possibilities to do that by growing organically by expanding current operations either in Madagascar and Mozambique. But it also mentions possibilities or inorganic growth via M&A - as we've seen already with the Mozambique acquisition (hopefully completing imminently) TGR is not afraid to acquire/buy new projects and by the middle of this decade it will likely be at a scale where that is a very easy thing to do!
This is why I don't think TGR is marketing itself loudly or hyping itself up - it is quietly and confidently getting on with its plan and the next stage will be reached at the end of this Quarter with the 1st 18,000tpa plant commissioning taking production from 12,000tpa to 30,000tpa making TGR a globally significant ex-China flake graphite producer. All investors need to do is pay attention to the news releases, articles and video interviews imo.
