Notes. Yet again, someone takes a stance on something and a certain individual goes off on one........ Whether or not I agree with your comments / sentiments, I would say that it is far more preferable to read something which appears to have considered and written it's native language, rather than something which may well have been ranted into some "voice to text to google translate" affair.

The use of a fuel cell in a domestic environment is in fact a no brainer of you can get the thing to work for prolonged period without charge degradation. Heat is a by product of a FC, and therefore is you use the thing as a non site, on demand electricity supply, there will be a heat output which needs to be managed. That heat does not have to be fed into a conventional boiler, but can instead be used to increase the baseline temperature of a passive heat store, which can then be recovered by the use of heat pumps, etc.
An FC is not a solution in itself, but it may well be the key piece of equipment in an integrated solution to the problem.

Significantly invested over the years, saw it soar to 80 pence, then retrace back, then bounce back up with Abramovich, and then retrace again. Had a gut feeling that it wasn't sustainable so took profits and are sat on what are effectively free shares.
Continued to have an interest because I believed that it was an integral part of a lower carbon future, but have seen very little by way of apparent progress over the last few years.
As a result I am becoming bored with the whole charade and as a result am now effectively closing the book on the thing and have mentally taken the write down on the investment (OK pedants, O know that the shares didn't cost anything because of profits taken, but there's still a profit opportunity cost). I therefore now have a sell order in place and propose to leave it there and await either the news that the sell order has been enacted (if so, then jolly good) or alternatively that the company has failed.
The fact that this board seems to have degenerated into a "two tribes" thing where it's not possible to comfortable sit in the middle ground (coupled with the amount of name calling and childish behaviour) means that the board is no longer an interesting place to visit, as it's either about mudslinging or delusional wishful thinking or de ramping, none of which actually adds anything to the conversation.
Same, it used to be an interesting diversion, but it's now just tiresome, so farewell and I wish you all well.
Please don't take this as a de ramp or anything else, it's simply that I've lost patience with the whole thing, and feel the need express my feelings about the degeneration of the integrity of the board.

This board is getting more like a playground by the day.
Can we please stop the bickering. At this precise moment in time, we don't know whether the company will produce the revolutionary product we were led top believe it was capable of delivering, or whether it's simply going to run out of money. In either case, one side of the argument will win, and one will lose. Do yourselves a favour, and keep your counsel to yourselves, and don't diss anyone with a different view point of view as you, because you never know, they may just be right.
I am saying this in the hope that we can get the board back to a place where there can be constructive comment on what's happening in an company in which we are all interested, I am not commenting on the supporters of either side of the argument, or an attack on anyone in particular, but, as they say, if the cap fits........

I agree a lunch seminar sponsored by JOI would indeed be very interesting......maybe a discussion on the implementation of the fuel cell technology required to make the use of abundant source of potential electrical energy, and then have AB knock one out in front of everyone.

Can you honestly take a piece seriously when the spelling is this bad......I can appreciate that some posters may have English as a second language, but this seems to be written by someone with English as a first language who simply can't spell.........

If we are going to post links to third party pieces, can we please make sure that they pass the B******s, test and are not written by imbeciles.

Looking at recent postings, I just wondered how many are posted in haste on mobile devices which have an autotext function. I'm only asking, because a fair few have such appalling syntax, grammar and spelling that they look like they've either been posted by a child, or have been pushed through some kind of Google Translate facility

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why are we not looking at electrolysers, using renewable energy as a form of hydrogen production, which can then be fed into an fuel cell? we then have a carbon clean, on demand supply of electricity. This avoids the need for having to crack the hydrogen out of other products, which in itself creates its own problems with regard to carbon containment.
I fully appreciate that this comment will be shot down as over simplistic, but an electrolyser is a very close relation to the fuel cell, (think motor and generator) so it does beg the question why this avenue hasn't been explored or developed.
Just a thought for today.........

All I'm really trying to say is that its the larger transactions which create the traction to the price movement in a given stock. Larger transactions are generally undertaken by investors who tend to have their own sources of (reliable) information and tend not to have to rely on the BB's for their insight, and therefore, by definition, BB postings are unlikely to have any material effect.

Does anybody really believe that the market is actually affected by anything posted on boards like this? Its volume that drives the market, not sentiment of minority shareholders. We are all passengers on the crazy train with a ticket to fiscal nirvana, settle down, enjoy the ride..............
