Very much looking forward to the AGM and hearing more detail around the obvious continued success of AVA6000 and the incredible news that disease in some cohort recruits has not progressed.

Some very, very, very repetitive and tedious nonsense about the longer term development of the company and how it may be funded. (Probably very straightforwardly and cheaply given the technology clearly works). However, all irrelevant in teh short/medium term :

“Avacta has a strong cash balance of £27 million on its balance sheet as at 31 May (unaudited) and anticipates strong news flow in the coming months from across the Group. “ “….no fundraising is imminent.”

If it's a binary comparison in a contingency table then the minimum number is 4 in each group.

Strong news today and I’m expecting more before the AGM on Wednesday.

The AGM promises to be quite an event.

“The AGM will be held on Wednesday, 28 June 2023 at 10.30 a.m. BST at The Royal Society of Medicine”

The last part of this sentence will doubtless be explained; “The data continue to show a very favourable safety profile for the tumour targeted chemotherapy and several patients in cohort 5 and earlier cohorts remain on treatment as their disease has not progressed.”

Very encouraging to see Avacta responding to the rather predictable attack as we approach the AGM. I thought the Eggy soldiers would have tried something a little more original than a fund raise.

So much babble and nonsense on here at the moment. Although a co-ordinated attack is perhaps to be expected as we approach the AGM all the indications from information provided by the company suggest that AVA6000 is progressing as hoped or better.

What PIs think or believe is irrelevant. Thinking = guessing, Belief = conviction in guess

Guess = pointless.

PIs will have little influence on the medium to long term value of this company, institutions a little more. What will make a significant difference is an interested Pharma.

The risk profile for AVA6000 and Precision is falling every day. The risk for interested parties that a competitor beats them to a purchase is rising every day.

A cross-over in risk profiles is coming and one day anyone holding will have a big smile on their face.

Before then (although who knows?) I personally expect substantial good news between now and the end of the month.

Moving on to 1b is probably marginally better. Dose is already high enough to offer potential significant benefit.

Further increases in dose could be managed by clinicians once it is adopted and in widespread use.

Once this first POC reaches market there will be no shortage of cash for the development of other compounds. (Although AVCT will probably have been bought out by then).

Your example isn’t a good example - it isn’t even an example.
A single pint is no where near saturating and the reaction will proceed according to Michaelis-Menton kinetics whether saturating or not in a linear manner. That is if you ingest 2 units of alcohol it will take two hours to degrade, 10 units takes 10 hours etc.
NOT ingest 10 units and degrade 5 in the first hour, 2.5 units in the second hour, 1.25 units in the third etc.

The half-life of the parent molecule is likely to be similar to standard dox, the conjugate we know is stable from the evidence that systemic levels of dox are low and tumour levels are high, ie it is only being cleaved in the target tissue. That is the whole point !

Whilst a long half-life is desirable the whole point of reducing systemic toxicity is to be able to give higher doses and more frequently. That is the method by which the target will remain saturated for longer.
