Only a week to go before we hear the details of what was headlined in the RNS. I think we can assume AS will put to bed the FUD raise nonsense and outline his plans for non-dilutive funding and perhaps licensing. In the meantime every possibility of further news by RNS.

Contrary to some subtle FUD nonsense being peddled there is no such thing as effective DOX or ineffective DOX or partially effective DOX - there is is simply DOX. It has already been established that cleavage of AVA6K (pro-doxorubicin) releases doxorubicin which has been determined as having the same MoA and is extremely effective as killing tumour cells in mouse models. Phase 1b is essentially for regulatory purposes only not to be know if 'it works' or not as we know it does.

An important point DTW. Whilst further studies will be needed for regulatory compliance the question of whether it will be effective or not has already been answered. CoS of 100% with the only question being how effective ? The higher the MTD the better and it’s all happening now.

I've been playing with Bard this afternoon and just for fun thought I would ask if Avacta's share price would rise this week. This was the answer :

You CANNOT give ANY drug for first use in humans without having a VERY GOOD idea of how it will act. Mouse studies are the go-to and generally obligatory. They give an excellent indication of responses and/or potential problems in humans but they are far from perfect.

Human trials (or experimental medicine studies in some cases) are required because murine physiology and immune systems are different in humans.

The response to AVA6000 was remarkable in mouse studies but required human trials. Everything is progressing well and indeed early indications are that it’s effects are also REMARKABLE in patients.

Strictly speaking it was 'worth' ~£300 million, but it was bought for £20 billion. Reminds me of another situation.....?
