A direct dual listing doesn't need to have any accompanying raise. It can be a straightforward cross listing with the same shares tradable on both London and New York markets.

Probably more likely is an ADR which could see a significant step up in SP and also doesn't require any new share issue.

You often find in auctions where there are multiple buyers the prices falling. There were 3 buyers for an E type at an auction last week. They were so keen the price went right down to £1.50.
