This is a highly ambitious team. Their stated goal is to become a mid cap energy company in 3-5 years. Mid cap means over £1Bn. Make of that what you will.

Jamaica really is a golden egg.

For about $35M drilling costs there’s a 20% chance of success (thanks to whoever corrected me down from 50…) for something potentially worth billions.

Pretty simple maths tells that bigger fish (to whom $35M is small change) will be interested.

Less than 10 months to find out now…..

China rolls over $2 bln loan to ****stan - finance minister

ISLAMABAD, March 31 (Reuters) - ****stan's finance minister, Ishaq Dar, said on Friday that China had rolled over a $2 billion loan that matured last week, providing relief during the South Asian nation's acute balance of payment crisis.

Locking in a rollover had been critical for ****stan, where reserves have dipped to just four weeks' worth of imports and talks over an IMF bailout tranche of $1.1 billion have hit a stalemate.

"I am happy to confirm that this had been rolled over on March 23," Dar told parliament, referring to the maturity date. He said all concerned documentation had been completed.

Vista, from memory I think it was in the info pack circulated before that conference in Texas 6 weeks ago or so.
I'm not certain that's where it's from but I do remember that 50% CoS was given.
I think Brian alluded to 60% in an interview.

Jamaica is quite an amazing prospect. The cost to drill is estimated to be a measly $30M or so, for a CoS of 50-60% for billions of barrels. The CoS being 50-60% means it's not an open goal for an investor, but the risk/reward there is so strong that I can't see no majors being interested. There is clearly an appetite for further oil drilling in the US, eg the new drill in Alaska that got so much media attention. So to me it seems like a no-brainer for a major. A successful farmout would massively increase our value, even before any drilling is started.

So if you buy in now you're paying for AS only (and even that's cheap), and in the (fairly likely imo (event that we do get a farmout at WM, there's a massive amount of upside.
