Thinking about it, although i keep saying that financial close should be the main catalyst to move us north, it could well be that the DFS itself, by demonstrating the NPV of the project, could be a huge catalyst for us. We might only need to wait another 2 months to see us move north.

LW, I've gotta ask, why do you keep arguing with people over whether they should buy or not?

I can understand a non-holder keeping an eye on developments with a view to possibly buying in at some point, but you seem to be quite focussed on other people's investing behaviour. Why?

LW, I'm bullish because I believe that we'll get financial close at some point in the not too distant future that will propel us into a fast multibagger.

I fully recognise that there may be another raise before then, but I can't be certain. Neither can I know in advance when the financial close will happen. So I do not intend to be out of this when that lands. Waiting until after another raise that may or may not happen is too big of a risk IMO. Another raise will take us down another 10% whereas financial close could see us multibagging in a single week.

End of the day, I'm not a trader. I don't try to predict the best entry. When I find a share that I beleive is extremely undervalued i buy it, even if there's a chance it could go down some more. I cannot catch a falling knife.

But my bullishness is based on the potential of these projects. And with the Chinese offering to help arrange finances if necessary, I don't see how we won't get financial close. So I hold a lot of shares and just wait, not trying to guess what the share price will be in the short term whcih is frankly a fools errand.

I think my position is easy to understand, even if you don't agree with it.

as I’ve always said, I think financial close is the big trigger to kick our sp into gear.

I would have thought that would come before the offstage agreement is signed hopefully by the year end but that seems a little soon so tbh I’m not sure which to expect first.

Agreed but just to add Ì think dfs then some more MOUs then financial close then binding contracts with contractors then binding contracts with end users. Probably a fair few stages in between these too.

These MOUs are like setting up the dominos. Then when you knock the first one over the rest follow.

Some PIs are complaining “when will see at least domino fall over”. But that’s not how it’s done. They’re being set up first. I feel very confident that patience will be rewarded.

I find it extremely easy to be positive.

It is true that anyone who bought at .7 could have done better waiting till now. But who could have known that for certain at the time? And it might still be the case that waiting longer might be better than buying now, but who could know that either. People waiting on the sidelines risk news dropping suddenly and finding they can only buy half and a third of the shares they wanted.

IMO this will one day be over 10p. So even people who bought at .7 will not be disappointed if they have enough patience to wait for these two extremely large projects to come together.

I agree with you guys. The questions today show a lack of understanding from some PIs as to what a project like this entails.

I'm amazed Naheed answered that question so politely. Unbelievably rude to someone who is clearly working very hard and is in fact making progress.

I wonder how the person who wrote that question would react if their boss or client said that to them....

No matter what they spend the money on, the fact remains that UOG are being paid for the oil produced, contrary to what derampers would have you believe.

Expressions of interest were due by the end of Q1.
Today's RNS says indicative offers are due by the end of Q2.
Indicative offers come after expressions of interest and would only be needed if we had successfully received a number of expressions of interest.
In other words, the farmout process has progressed.
Drill or drop decision by by 31 Jan 2024.
Max 279 days left to wait.

The second I saw the RNS I knew lse would talk mostly about the non mention of gold.

Never mind the billion dollar GH project or the several hundred million dollar solar project.... what some really care about is the tiny little gold project we did on the side.......

But I also had the same observation as others re the divestment of non core assets. The gold project is the only non core asset we have.

That's a pretty cynical way of looking at things.

Another way of looking at it is that the process for each of these huge projects is likely to be very complex and it's unrealistic to expect the CEO to lay out the intricacies of exactly what needs to be done and when. Much of this will depend on partners outside her direct control and I'm sure there are stages that will become apparent as we go along, which we don't at this stage even know exist.

I think PIs are going to have to be patient and trust her to do her work properly without unnecessary pressure from interfering PIs who will scream and shout without true understanding of what's involved.

Extra information at this stage will not calm and nervous nor placate the cynical. Let her actions, not her action plans, do the talking here all in good time.

Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park (Andhra Pradesh, India). This 1,000 MW solar park was completed in 2017 and had a capex of around $1 billion.

I have been consistently saying that financial close is THE catalyst that will set a fire under the sp. Just my opinion of course.

But given the finances of this project I don't see either of them not getting financial support, especially given that line in the last RSN "PowerChina will also assist in arranging financing if required"
So IMO it's just a matter of time.

I think some people just see the share price movement, see no news that day and assume there's a pump and dump.

Production recently (almost) doubled. This causes the net profit to quadruple (since admin costs are fixed). So why shouldn't the share price move significantly north on that basis alone?!
